The Gentleman
Ohhh happy nearly the weekend!!!
What started out a bright and sunny day here has turned into a rather gloomy afternoon! But still had a lovely morning down the front seeing the Sea-lions, no dolphins around today but the Sea-lions are so chilled out and look so gentle. They were quite happy dozing on the rocks. Love seeing them. Never fails to get old looking at them.
So I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-
Midweek Magnolias- Celebration
Deep Ocean Challenge blog- Add metal or wood
lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia- Add blue
Magnolia-licious challenge blog- Anything goes
So for this card I used my fave gentleman Edwin. Isnt he just gorgeous! Ever such the English gent! I also used one of my fave things...I just love the moustaches! I love them esp in this paper collection which is an older one from 'Sears and Son' by Kaisercraft. I coloured Edwin with Distress inks.
The dies are a mix of Go kreate , Magnolia and Tim Holtz.
The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley . Fathers day is a different day in England and been and gone.
The metal ink quill is from Tim Holtz also and I added a little metal fob watch too.
Hope you have a great day.

For this card I used 'Pirate Tilda' isnt she fabulous! And the nautical background. I coloured Tilda with Distress Inks and then fussy cut her out and once coloured the nautical background I then glued Tilda to the side of the image. The background was coloured also with Distress Inks.
The papers are from Kaisercraft. I do have a 'thing' about seaside/nautical papers...I just cant help myself!!!! hehe! The dies are all from Magnolia bar the shape of the card itself which is from Go Kreate.
The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
The flag is from Spotlight and I added a Magnolia die as the flag.
My metal aspect is the skull and cross bones charm, but also the bronze brad and also around the porthole window the rhinestone brads. I added a wood aspect and coloured the outside of the porthole in 'Vintage Photo' with a touch of 'Walnut stain' to make it look like wood.
Finally I added some mini alpha to the tags reading 'ship ahoy'
Hope you have a great week.

Happy Wednesday! Half way there peoples to the weekend!

Craft Heaven inspiration and challenge blog- Fun in the sun

For my card I used 'Tilda with summer flags' from an older Magnolia Collection. The papers are also an older collection from Maja Design.
I coloured Tilda with Distress inks and edged all the die cuts with Distress Ink 'Vintage Photo'. The dies are all Magnolia bar the shape of the card which is Go Kreate and the letters which is a Tim Holtz die.
To make the waves pop I used foam tape to make them 3D.
I added some pink rhinestones to the seahorse and flags and then some clear rhinestones to the flip flops.

View from a window
Morning all!!
Well its defo winter here....well kinda...in a fashion! We have had a few batterings with the weather, last night for one and it seems to be in for rest of day! Although I can see blue sky peeking through! So I am i am plonked at computer listening to Aerosmith (did I mention I am a HUGE rock fan!) and blogging! Not a bad start to the week eh.
So I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-
lovely hAnglar or sweet Magnolia- Anything goes
All about Magnolia Challenge blog- Shape cards
Time for Magnolia Challenge blog- Anything goes
Midweek Magnolias - Anything goes with a Magnolia
Deep Ocean Challenge blog- Furry or feathered friends
So with this card I used a couple of the older Magnolia stamps and masked them together- Romantic window and 'Longing Tilda'. I can tell you I held me breath to mask this right! I coloured both with Distress inks.
The papers are from Crafts and You which can be found at Noor!Design Uk. They are from the Vintage collection.
The dies are all from Magnolia except for the shape of the card which is from Go Kreate. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
For the flowers in the window basket I cut these twice so the flowers are 3D. In the middle of them I used Perfect Pearls.
On the die cuts I sprayed them with Glimmer mist and edged them all with Distress Ink 'Vintage Photo'.
For the cats collar I used a small piece of twine and added a button to it. On the die cut flowers I also used small yellow buttons here. Behind the main image I added some cheese cloth for some texture.
Hope you have a great week!

Beach days
Morning all!
Hope we are all well today? Beautiful weather here in Australia, still stuns me that this is winter. Its gorgeous. So this card was inspired by one of the things I love so much. As you guys know I am a huge beach fan just something about it its bliss. Whether rain or sun I never want to be too far from it, good for the soul...and the tan lol! Anyway back to the card!
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-
Craft Heaven Shop Inspiration and challenge blog- Fun in the sun
Marvellous Magnolia Challenge blog- Anything goes
Simply Magnolia- Summer
lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia- Anything goes
Time for a Magnolia Challenge- Anything but a square
Soooooo yes back to my beachy card! I used 'Bikini Tilda' from the older collection 'Sea Breeze' collection she is just delightful in her cute little two piece! The beach huts stamp is also from Magnolia and is the perfect backdrop for Tilda.
I coloured Tilda using Distress Inks. The papers....well I have had them a while I shall confess lol. The are from the Kaisercraft collection 'Tropicana' they are full of bright rich beachy tropical colours that really do make you feel very summery.
The dies are a mix of Go Kreate for the shape and Magnolia for the others. The letters are die cut from a Tim Holtz die.
I used some cheese cloth to add a bit more of a foam effect to the surf boards and bubbles acting as waves.
I sprayed the die cuts with 'Iridescent Gold' shimmer mist as this leaves such a beautiful golden sun baked look...perfect for beachy cards.
The final touch was some Kaisercraft rhinestones.
Hope you have a wonderful day.
