Follow the sketch MDUC/ Tilda's Town 'anything goes!"

hi!! how are we this morning? nice cool day here in the Pilbara!!!

So I got me new stamps yesterday so it would be rude not to give them a chance to do their thing! For this I am entering this card in two different site's challenges- Magnolia Down Unders 'Follow the Sketch' and Tilda's Town 'Anything goes'

I was feeling inspired with the main stamp, it reminds me of my hubby and I packing up and travelling the lovely long open roads that surround us and are really one of the only ways to get anywhere..theres no bus here!!! So I used 'Tilda and Edwins' Tour Bus' for the main image and a mini Edwin with lizard for the accompanying image.

The papers I used are the Graphic 45 'Tropical Travelogue' which do exotic papers bursting with colour and perfect for any jungle theme.  For the tags I used my fave die 'vintage tag' by Magnolia and cut it with my Cuttlebug using the flower print and the Giraffe prints. To the Giraffe I used 'Wild thing' sentiment and distressed some brown cardstock. For the flower I attached a Australia charm. I then went on to tie some ribbon through the holes. The ribbon has tine flowers on it and tiny leaves and tied in perfectly with my theme.

I then cut the die shape using my Spellbinders die and stamped the tour bus image in Espresso Truffle. I cut a small piece out with my scalloped shape scissors and stamped mini Edwin in the same colour.

Then I set to and started colouring. Here are the colours I used from Copic-

Bus: BG96, YG11
Windows: BG10
Bumpers: E57, E33
Luggage: E57, E33, R17
Lights: YR23, R17
Wheels: BV25, BV31

To the lights I coloured slightly over the Copic colour with 'Atyou Spica' pen in Silver to give the impression of a metal hubcap. I also done this on the lights with the red and yellow pens from the same range.

Edwins colour:

Skin: YR000, E21, R02
HairYR02, E06
Top: B29, B02, B05
Pants: E57, E31
Shoes:GO5
Tee: G96, YG03

Lizard: Y23

Then for the background colour. I sponged on Tim Holtz Distress ink for the ground in 'Vintage Photo' and for the sky ' Tumbled glass' from the same range. As you can see the 'Vintage Photo' colour overlaps the 'Tumbled Glass' as I wanted it to look like the dust was flicking up as they moved.

Finally I added some yellow ribbon from the KC range behind the main image. Then added rhinestones from KC in 'Split Pea'.

And there it is guys

Enjoy

Love D xx
