how to train your reindeer!
Happy Sunday!
how are we all doing? feeling Christmasy? here its kinda a weird as its red hot so I am still confused by it. But we are all set- tree is up, lights outside, turkey in freezer...where i am wishing i was currently!
So I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-
Magnolia Forever Challenge blog- Christmas
Craft Heaven shop inspiration and challenge blog- winter wonderland
Magnolia-licious challenge blog- Anything goes with the option of Christmas
Paradise of Magnolia challenge blog- Anything goes
Paradise of Stamps- Anything goes
Deep Ocean challenge blog- Santa is coming to town
This card was made for my three year old to be on Christmas eve nephew and I wanted to make it fun and bright. I thought a shaker card would be great for him as he can interact with the card. So with it being for the little guy I used baby Rudolph as hes only little too. I coloured Rudolph with Distress Inks.
I used papers from Doodlebug Designs and its such a great collection for kids this one. Lots of fun colours and images and George loves cars, truck, wagons and all that sort of thing so it was a must.
I used the same tutorial as always for the twist and pop card.
On the front the shaker circle is from Impression Obsession and I used shaker material from neat and tangled these colours work perfect with the papers. I added some jingle bells to one of the tags that was die cut from a Magnolia die. The snowflakes are also from Magnolia and the jingle tag is from Tim Holtz.
On the inside I used some of the little pictures that come with the collection. Perfect again for kids.
I used the Santa die from Magnolia and the Santa clothing die again (its been used a lot these two dies !) from Joy Crafts. I added snow marker on the clothes cut outs.
The rest of the card pictures are from the paper collection too.
I added a secret tag compartment like in the tutorial.
Have a great week ahead.

The Man..
Happy December people!!!
Well its finally here December is in the house!!! wow! so today we have been wrestling the lights outside and boy it was red hot out there so will sort the rest tonight when it cools!
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-
Deep Ocean Challenge blog- Santa is coming to town
Marvelous Magnolia Challenge blog- Anything goes
Simply Magnolia- Winter
Midweek Magnolias- Anything goes
lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia- pearls, gems or sparkle
So again I am back with my fave twist and pop cards! I like these for many reasons but they are also a great size to post. As most people know I am English and most of my cards go back home so it makes it easier and lot less likely that they we be damaged when in this style.
I used the cute Santa Edwin from a couple of releases ago from Magnolia. He is coloured with Distress Inks. On his beard I used the snow tex marker to make it pop and it so great to watch this come to life when you heat it. On his cuffs I added some Frantage shaved glass and I love how this twinkles and sparkles.
The papers are from the ever fab Maja Design. Its one of my fave Maja Christmas collections this one. The reds are beautiful.
On the front the gift die is from Tim Holtz and the Santa and his sleigh is from Impression Obsession.
On the inside I used the snow tex marker again on the Santa suits- the large one is from Cheery Lynne Designs. Again I used the Tim Holtz gift boxes die and the tree and Santa's head (i LOVE this die!) are from Magnolia.
Hope you have an awesome weekend.

slide slide slide!
And again...last time for today I promise...
Another reason I am having a blogging marathon is that I am a bit behind as I had to have dental surgery last week due to a tooth snapping and an infection spreading round my mouth three weeks ago. Anti biotics done the job then hour and half in dentist chair trying to get tooth out. So I am now no longer out of it on pain meds and swelling is down and feel up to it so im on a roll!
Simply Magnolia- CAS or fully loaded
Deep Ocean Challenge blog- Things with wings
Midweek Magnolias- Christmas is coming
lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia- gems, pearls or sparkle
So this card is another fave style of mine and one that always gives people a surprise. its a double slider card a very simple but very effective.
I used papers from Craft and You which can be found at Noor! Design UK. I used sparkly paper for the Magnolia angel wings from Stampin' up. I love how they have turned out with the beautiful glittery paper. The stars were also cut from glitter paper but a slightly more matte version and these are from Magnolia. I wanted to keep the image on the front simple and clean, something for me that has taken a lot of years of practice to even to get to this.
On the slider part I used two of the Magnolia Tilda images from last years releases. Everyone loves a holy wreath at Christmas so these two went perfect together. I coloured them with my fave Distress inks. I added a little eyelet so can pop some lace through to help the pulling of it. I also added a little pull me tag after the photos as I sent one for my dad's 70th and he didnt realize it could slide so lesson learnt!
Hope you have a great weekend!

dashing through the snow.
Hi all!
Well can you believe that next week is the first of Dec! Like really!!! how fast has that gone by! This year has gone again in a blink. its pretty much vanished!
I am here with a Christmas card that went to my friend in Sweden and I am sure those guys will!
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-
Marvelous Magnolia Challenge blog- Anything goes
All about Magnolia Challenge blog- All about the Season
Magnolia-licious challenge blog- option of Christmas
Paradise of Magnolia- Let it snow
Sweet Stampers Challenge blog - Christmas
So this card is made based on one of my fave tutorials a Twist and Pop and I love this one as it is a large version of the card so you have more room to play with.
I used an oldie Edwin for this card and wanted it to look like he was dashing through the snow on his sledge in a forest. I coloured Edwin with Distress inks and for the snow around him I heated the snow marker and I love watching that pop up as you heat it.
The die used at the top is from Noor! Design UK as is the tree die cut at the bottom. I used the trees out line as like I said I wanted a forest feel....he best watch out for those trees!!
On the inside I used Magnolia dies and cut them in sparkly paper. Isnt the snowman just so cute!!!! the gingerbread man is also from Noor Design! I have a bit of a Noor! Design UK habit people!
Hope you have a great weekend ahead.

Ice Princess
Hi everyone!
Did we all have a lovely Halloween if we celebrated it? It was quiet round where we live as it doesnt get done really over here. Anyhow can you believe we are into November and that is Christmas card time I guess for crafters if you havent already started and finished.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-
Magnolia Forever Challenge blog- Girly
Marvelous Magnolia Challenge blog- Anything goes
International Art and Soul- Add a tag or charm
Alphabet Challenge blog- 'Q' is for quote
Addicted to stamps and more- Anything goes
Magnolia-licious challenge blog- Anything goes with the option of Halloween
Sooooo I can put this card on my blog as it was part of the Kit and Clowder facebook group Christmas card swap and my swap partner has it now so here it is! If you havent heard of Kit and Clowder its defo a must. Its a coloring community ran via Facebook and the link above with classes and lots of fun and games and over 16,000 of us are there!
Anyhow, I used an older image for this card, she is just beautiful isnt she and I love the feminine style of her skating. I coloured miss Tilda with Distress Inks. Now most of the cards I do for Christmas are traditional but I fancied a bit of a challenge to myself. I used papers from Kaisercrafts Christmas Wishes collection from last year and it is so girly and pretty.
The card itself is a large twist and pop card and the tutorial can be found at this link. Its an brilliant tutorial and I really like the size of this card as I can do more with the inside.
I added some tags cut from Magnolia Dies around the edges of the front of the card. I tied some bakers twine through.
The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley stamps and like this quote from the carol. Plus is kinda suits our gal who is dashing through the snow on her ice skates.
On the inside I used cut outs that came from the Kaisercraft paper pad and also dies from Magnolia.
On the bottom of the card I added a hidden pocket and a pull out tag as like in the tutorial. I like this idea as you can use the card for decoration rather than having to save a space to write in. This gives you that freedom to play some more.
I finished of with a few Nuvo drops around the card just to continue that girly feel.
Hope you have a great weekend.

peas in a pod
Hi all!
Wow it feels like ages again since I have blogged...but I do have a valid excuse! this card is for one of my besties and I didnt want her to see it before her bday!!!
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-
All about Magnolia Challenge blog- All about fall/halloween
Magnolia -licious challenge blog- challenge 14 with option of halloween
Marvelous Magnolia challenge blog- Anything goes
Paradise of Magnolia- Fall or Halloween
Paradise of Stamps- Fall or Halloween
Simply Magnolia - Autumn
Sweet Stampers challenge blog- Autumn or Halloween
For this card I wanted harvest kinda feel to it....or well getting ready for Spring depending on what part of the world you are in. My friend and I are keen gardeners as is her mum so thought whats better than three gardening Tilda right?! I masked the girls together. I coloured them with Distress Inks.
The papers are from Maja Design 'Walk in the Forest' and is a beautiful collection with lots of rich oranges and green mixed with blues. Perfect for either Autumn or Spring really.
The shape of the card is from Go Kreate. The main dies are from Magnolia, the wheel behind the image is from little darlings rubber stamps. The peas....ahhh the pea pod die! Its from Spellbinders and also come with a carrot and an awesome sentiment which you will see in the pics below. I used Nuvo drops to make the peas in the pod. On the Tilda with red hair, the green in her hairband is also Nuvo but the glow in the dark Nuvo which I could not resist.
I added a little seed packet charm to the inside of the card.
Hope you have a great weekend coming up.
