Summer Summer Time!

Hi everyone!

Now this is an exciting post! This is my first post as a member of the My Besties UK Challenge Blog. Exciting! We have some fab digis as prizes and a special priced digi available to purchase, the rules are up to 3 entries with a Bestie Image and one without so you can enter up to 4 times ....

Now the challenge that we have today is summertime! Nice challenge, and it warmed me up as its winter in Australia!

So for this card i used the fab DPs from Kaisercrafts collection Tropicano' all sunny and summer and beachy. Now when i think of summer i think summer dress, and lovely colours like pink and yellow. And when i left England to move to Oz it was ALL about these bands that went around forehead so this is the image I picked.

I coloured my little lady with Copics  I used dies from Whimsy and added some flowers from WOC and Prima in the shades of the tropical papers. I added some perfect pearls to her head band and to the middle of her dress.  Behind the image is some gold glittery mess so add to the beachy feel. The sentiments are from La La Land Crafts.

To finish off i added some shells- a lovely white one and a glittery gold one, both are nestled in the flowers.

I hope you like my very first DT card for the besties!

Skater girl

Happy Saturday guys!

I am here today with a card that ive been itching to make. I love love love this stamp.

I am entering my card in the flowing challenges -

LOTV Ideas to inspire challenge blog- Male or sporty
A creative romance - Anything goes with happy birthday option
Bunny Zoe Challenge blog - Layers

So why did i pick this image? Well it is super cute but also brought back memories. Sunday mornings dad and me used to toddle off to the coast, mam staying home cooking Sunday lunch and i was off n my roller skates with dad walking behind shouting for me not to kill people! It was something that i loved and i know my dad did too. I loved my roller skates!

So i used this cute image from LOTV and the DPs are from Maja. I coloured her with Copics and added some shabby green fran-tage around the edges. I added some wooden stars to the top left hand corner of the main image. I added two lots of lace from my stash and the die is from Magnolia. A bit of cheese cloth adds some texture. I distressed the edges of the DPs and added a tag i found on our travels. The green pin ties in with the green bow and DPs but is also from my win on the Aussie Besties blog hop. So cute isnt it. I added some sparklets in Cameo and a couple of pearls in latte. The finishing touch was this wood heart, as this is a memory close to my heart. Since it a Male/ sporty theme card I kept the inside simple using the stripes from the front of the card, carried over to the inside and a wooden star.

I hope you like my card.

So for this card I used the gorgeous Swimming Tilda. She is one of the first maggies that I bought and havent actually used her, just love her so had to have her lol. The DP are from the Kaisercraft collection 'Tropicana' and has a lovely beachy summery feel to it.

Now Tilda is all out in the ocean on her own! Snorkeling but she has her fishy friends to keep her safe!

I used flowers from WOC, Kaisercraft and Prima. I added some shells to the cloth and also added in a little fishing boat and a starfish.  Behind the main image is some plae blue mesh.  The die of the glasses are from Whimsy and the sentiment on the main image is also from there. The sentiment at the bottom of the card is from La La Land Crafts.  I used a little bottle and filled it with multi coloured beads.  A bit of DI around the main image and some glitter glue adds some sparkle. To her fishy friends and mask I added some dimensional magic.

The pin is a little bright pink heart shaped  pin that was part of the gift I won on Besties Australia blog hop.

I added some rhinestones to finish off the image.

Hope you like my card !

Just my cup of tea

Morning guys

I am catching up on posting some cards so this is the first of them!

Now everyone knows I am a total English girl and LOVE LOVE LOVE my tea. Honestly i can drink it till it comes out of my ears. So this was the perfect stamp for me!

Dutch Magnolia Lovers  - Summertime
Inky Chicks - Use Metal
lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolias - Use a charm

So for this card I used DPs from the Kaisercraft range 'Magnolia Grove'.This is an old collection but defo one of my all time faves as it has a old 1920s style feel to it. I coloured the lovely Tilda with copics.

I used dies from Magnolia and flowers are a mix of WOC and Kaisercraft, all in different shades of pink.  I used a cream coloured doily and covered this with clear glitter glue to add some shimmer. I then draped some pearls over the flowers, as I think Tilda looks like the kinda lady who would wear pearls!

The lace and ribbon are from my own stash and the sentiment stamp is from La La Land Crafts. The charm I used is a lovely little fan, as all ladies back in the day used to carry fans, well maybe more Southern Belles but hey!

My metal embellie is in the form of a corner embellie- not sure exactly what it is called haha!

I hope you like my card
