Metal on the card

Hi blogland!

Hope we have all had a good Saturday?!

I am here to show you the card that I am entering in the following challenge-

Marvelous Magnolia Challenge Blog- Metal

This is a pretty cool challenge don't you agree!!

For this card I decided on Tilda as a builder- love this stamp! She is just adorable! Perfect really for the challenge I thought as I have added some lovely metal bits and bobs so without further ado here is my card.

I used the Kasiercraft basic cardstock in 'Eggshell'. The DP are from the Kaisercraft paper pad 'Pickled Pear'. I really do love the blue tones in this pad.

I stamped Tilda and coloured her with my Copic's-here is my combo;

Skin- E50, 51, 11, R20
Overalls- G000, 00,02, 20
Tee- YG00
Hair- R27, E21, R21

I used Diamond stickles on her hammer and nails. The metal I added was a corner flourish and also some very cute tools I found in my stash left over from a previous beyond the page project. I then embellished with Prima flowers and WOC flowers. I added a hand made sign to the flowers as everything Builder Tilda makes is hand made! To add some sparkle I used the Prima 'Say in crystals', some Kaisercraft Sparklets, a Prima Butterfly and some Kaiserecraft rhinestones for her buttons and earrings.

I hope you like my card!

CAS layout

Well good afternoon blogland!

Today I am showing you a card I am entering in the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog and the challenge is 'Clean and Simple'. Now this took me a while to work out as you can see my past cards are not clean or simple! So I started to think about which Tilda would represent this theme well and I came up with Yoga Tilda. Clean and Simple is the life style that many yogi's live by so this was perfect.

I used white card stock for the body and Kaisercraft '75 cents' paper pad. I love the colour combo and its very fresh. I then embossed using a Cuttlebug folder spots onto another smaller piece of white card stock. Finally I mounted my image in the middle of the card.

I used a piece of pale lime green ribbon and made a simple bow with the same colour.

I coloured this image with Copics- here is my combo-

Skin- YR000, E21, R30
Clothes- YG11,03, 41, BG3
Hair- R12, YR21, E55
Shoes- YG03, 11,23

I then added the 'Life is a journey; sentiment from La La Land crafts to a piece from the same paper pad and finished with some pale lime green pearls.

Hope you enjoy!

Glittery Birthday/ Girly card/Lots of lovely layers

Wow cant believe its Wed already! this week is whizzing by!
So I have another card to show you guys out there in Blogland. With this card I shall be entering the following challenges

Ribbon Girl- Girly cards
Simply Magnolia- Glittery Birthday cards
Marvelous Magnolia Challenge Blog- Lots of lovely layers

For this card I used the gorgeous Bazzil cardstock. Such a gorgeous girly purple.  The DP I used are Maja Design 'Vintage Spring Basics'.  The image I used was 'Tilda with Heart Balloons'. As everyone likes Balloon's on their Birthday!

I layered my DP's with a combination of cheese cloth and some sparkly gauze from my stash. I The added some Rhinestone ribbon to the top, some Magnolia Flowers which have a great glittery finish to them. I added beaded twirls from Ribbon Girl along with some flowers from my stash.  My fave thing to use at the moment is Fran-tage (I know I am not alone there!) and added 'Shabby pink' to the corners of the image.  Then used some Prima butterflies and to these, along with the flowers and the balloons, added some Stickles Diamond glitter glue.  I added a Prima 'Say it with Crystals to the flowers.

I coloured Tilda with copics- here is my colour combo:

Skin- YR000, E21, R30
Hair- YR000, YR21, E55
Dress- RV 16, 10, 21, 4, 13
Balloon's- V12,4, R81, 43, 12, 83
Shoes- C1,3,5

To finish off I added some Kaisercraft pearls in lavender to pick up with the cardstock and added a charm in the shape of a bow to the flowers. The sentiment I used is from Clear Art Stamp and is in a lovely enchanted fairytale script, and positioned to look pinned by the addition of some Kaisercraft Sparklets.  To finally finish off I added some dew drops, as they twinkle when the light catches them.

Hope you enjoy!

Hi guys!

im back with another card! this one I am entering into the following challenges;

Magnolia Down Under Challenge- Tic Tac Toe
Marvelous Magnolia Challenge Blog- Lots of lovely layers
Tilda's Challenge Blog- Christmas

For this card I used Bazzil Bling card stock in Red carpet and it has a lovely Christmas feeling to it. The DP I used are 'Just Believe'. These are fro Kaisercraft range and although are traditional have a slightly different look ass there is a lot of silvers and pale blues in them.

The stamp I used was part of the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge- My lines are the following- Pearls/Die/Lace and also Pearls/Edwin/Charm.

I used the following Copic colour combo on Edwin-

Skin- YR000, E21, R20
Santa Suit- R12/R08/R14/R27/R89
Trim- C1/3/5
Beard- W0/1/3
Boots- C1/5/7/Y28

I used red pearls on the corner of the Edwin image.

With the body of the card I used the Lifestyle craft nesting die to cut the shape of the card but also the DP papers so I could layer them. I have 3 layers of paper, some silver sparkly mesh, and doily. I used a Martha Steward Punch in the shape of snowflake, and added this to the left hand side of the card to add some sparkle I used Bazzil Bling in String of pearls and some Kaisercraft sparklets.  I added some WOC blooms to the bottoms of the card and some Magnolia berries. The charm I used is a scarf and is next to the snowflakes.

And the Prize is;

So as most you guys know I live Down under so this was inspired by a gorgeous place called Coral Bay on the coast of Western Australia. Its perfect. I used a combination of stamps for this card. I used Burger Tilda, Romantic wedding background and the very cute Tilda's BBQ. And what is more Aussie than a beach BBQ!

Card stock used is the Bazzil bling again. I used Kaisercrafts 'Tropicana' collection. This is one of my fave collections, very very summery and perfect for the look I was going for. The flowers are from WOC and remind me of the beautiful colours that the Frangipani trees have.

I used some jute style mess at the very bottom of the card and this doubles as sand and also a fishing net as Coral Bay has brilliant seafood all freshly caught. I popped a couple of shells in there too.

Behind the image is 3 layers of design paper from the KC collection. Basically I couldn't decide which paper was my fave so went for them all! I used the collectables that come with the collections for the postcards and stamps.

Again, behind the image is some cheesecloth and some beautiful bright rose pink ribbon and some ribbon from another KC collection 'Rockpool'.

I coloured Tilda in Distress Inks- heres my combo!

Skin- Tattered Rose/Tea Dye/ Spun Sugar
Hair- Brushed Corduroy
Dress- Peeled paint
Apron- Aged Mahogany
BBQ- Vintage photo/ Spiced marmalade/ fired brick
Sky- Broken China
Sea- Stormy Sky
Burger- Tea Dye/Fired Brick/Peeled pain
Hat- Scattered straw/antique Linen

I found these awesome BBQ related embellies so had to use one!! I picked the BBQ charm itself for this card.  I added some stickles in 'Diamond' to the water and the clouds.

Hope you enjoy my card

Mid Way reminder!!! Tilda's wedding!

Hi guys!

This is you RSVP card for the Tilda's Wedding challenge at Totally Tilda Challenge Blog.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Sir Stampalot

and the prize will be;

TWO MAGNOLIA STAMPS!

So why not hop across and see whose on the guest list for the wedding of the year and RSVP!

I used Bazzill bling card stock in string of pearls which is a lovely shiny, creamy colour and one of my favorites. The design papers I used are the gorgeous Maja Design papers from the 'Vintage Summer Basics' paper pad. I layered these so each one peeks out and frames the card. I then used a vintage ribbon with pearl drops to frame the top of the card, it reminded me of the top of a wedding dress. I then used some dusty rose coloured twine to tie the two ring charms to the side of the card. The charms are from the Dress it up button collection. I then die cut a vintage tag and stamped the Magnolia sentiment 'best thing in life to hold on to is each other' to it and added another piece of dusty pink twine and a bow and arrow charm to it.

I then set about my image; I decided to breakout the Watercolour pencils too along with Distress Inks

WATERCOLOUR PENCILS (Faber -Castell)

Skin- Raw Umber/ Warm Grey II/ Dark red
Dress- Magenta

DISTRESS INKS

Hair- Scattered Straw/Rusty hinge
Cake- Spun Sugar
Leave- Peeled paint

I used my awesome Snow pen as the icing on the cake. I also added Kaisercraft 'Fairy Floss' blossoms to the cake to make it 3D. Add to that a piece of place, for the something old. I them glued my image to the cardstock and added a length of pearl trim. In the bottom corner I added the Prima Flowers in 'Serenade Pink' and added Stardust stickles to the petals. I added a lovely metal corner flourish from Wild Orchard Crafts to the top corner.

Finally I used some of the Stampendous Fran-tage in Shabby Pink to added some added bling.

Hope you can join us on this special day!

Make It Craft DT call

now I am SUPER DUPER EXCITED HERE PEOPLE! The awesome Make It Crafty team are having a call!

A little bit about me- well you guys know the majority. I love the colour, I love trying new things, love playing with pretty things and helping others enjoy what is the best hobby ever! I cant think of many days that go by without something crafty happening, I always seem to be covered in ink! I use Copics and Distress inks along with watercolour pencils. I am hoping to try out Prisma colour pencils soon!

So the card I went for is something that speaks to me! I live in the middle of nowhere in Outback Australia so this had to be my entry. Beautiful surroundings and peace and quiet to craft away merrily.

I used the Kaisercraft 'Great Southern' collection for this. Papers are such a rich beautiful collection of colours and are perfect for the outback.  I distressed the edges (I LOVE my distressing tool!)

Now for the image! I picked a rather detailed image and the gorgeous Aussie Sheila for it. Here is my copic colour combo

House-YR21, E49, E55, Y28, C3
Sheila - YR000, R20, E08R27, BG01, BG10,E93,YR61
Surroundings- E18,E35,E77G99, YG23,YG03, YR23

As you can see a lot of colour and a variety at that! I like to try different combos- if it works woohoo if it doesn't I will keep at it until I get a result I am happy with.

I added some bling in the form of Diamond Stickles to the hat, wind farm, and the plants.

To achieve the lovely dust (!) that we have hear in the Pilbara I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink pad in 'Scattered Straw' and dabbed it with a sponge to make it look dusty. The same technique was used with the sky and 'Broken China' ink was dabbed lightly. I didn't cover the whole sky as wanted to give the impression of clouds.

Now time for embellies! I used gorgeous brown/orange/cream paper blossom blooms. To this I used a La La Land stamp sentiment in 'best Mates' and stamped this on a die cut from the collectables of the 'Great Southern' collection. I added some WOC craft leaves in a burnt orange.  This reflects the land here during our winter as it is very dry.  I added a charm of a paper map, koala to this corner too. In the top corner a red ribbon (our dust is red as its iron mining here) and a charm of a map of Australia to finish of the bow. Then some gold rhinestones. In the bottom corner a boomerang.

If you look you will see a tea coloured piece of lace peeking out. We might be rural but we like girly things!

Well I hope you have enjoyed my card as much as I did making it. This defo has to be one of my fave images and feels very appropriate to make this considering where I live. And that's how I craft. Everything has a personal aspect to it. Almost like creating a story!

Black and White/ Special Occasion

evening all!

Hope we are well?!

Today ive tackled something ive been dying to try for a while- Black and White only colouring. I thought Edwin would be perfect for this, and I fell in love with this stamp- Edwin with top hat. Doesn't he look dapper!

So I am entering this card in the following challenges-

Magnolia Down Under - black and white challenge
Tilda's Town- Special Occasion - 80th birthday

I used the Kaisercraft premium card stock in Ivory for the basic body. For the design papers, Kaisercraft's 'Black and White Timeless' collection. I loved the paper that was covered in clocks so this is the first layer of the design papers. On top of this is a less busy paper, with little flourishes on it. I then mounted my stamped image on a smaller piece of the white cardstock used for the body of the card.

I stamped Edwin and coloured him with the following combo to achieve a black and white effect-

Skin- YR000, R20
Hair- C3
Suit/hat- C1, C3, C5, C7, 100
Buttons- Sakura Glaze pen 'Black'
Pipe- Atyou spica 'Black' and 'Silver'

For his buttons and cufflinks I used the Glaze pen and then added KC black pearls. I also used the Glaze on his shoe laces.

Added to this, was some Dimensional Magic to his cravat, band on hat and pipe.

I added a black feather to the 3rd layer as I wanted that debonair look for Edwin. I added a fob watch charm to tie in with the vintage look but also to carry through to the watch papers in the first layer. This was followed before the image was glued into place but a cobalt black ribbon.  I then added a silver corner piece to add some bling. The main image was 'blinged' by adding clear dew drops around it. To finish off I used the moustache wood flourishes from KC 'Sears and Son' collection and give them some sparkle with Stickles 'Black Diamond'.

For the special occasion of the 80th Birthday I die cut an '80' in charcoal grey paper using the Tim Holtz Alternations 'once upon a time' alphabet die.

Hope you like my card!

Tilda's Wedding - Totally Tilda Challenge blog

well its a wonderful day for a wedding! and a wonderful day for another challenge at Totally Tilda Challenge Blog so why not hop a across and join us in this celebration!

Our sponsors for this challenge are Sir Stampalot

The prize will be:
Two Magnolia Stamps

So without further ado lets get this celebration underway!

For this challenge I decided to use a neutral cardstock so Kaisercrafts 'Mineral' card was the perfect accompanying colour to the beautiful papers from Papermania (a gift from my lovely friend back in England) The delicate pinks, greens and blues complement the mineral paper. I also added some sewing to the card and used 'We are Memory Keepers' and love the variegated neutral colours. The gold and silver again complemented the design papers, names 'Mudpie' and 'Marble'. I then used floral oval die from Spellbinders to cut an oval which is where our bride and groom will stand. I also used my fave Doo hickey die from magnolia- the feathers. This was all tied in with cheesecloth and a die cut invitation that was part of the Papermania pack. On this I wrote out the date (the date of the challenge) location (The Totally Tilda Challenge Blog) and people (Tilda and Edwin) to make it into a real invite.

For the stamps I used 'Loving wedding couple' and 'Flower girl Tilda'. Here are the colour combos I used, colouring in Distress Inks-

Couple   -

Skin- Tattered rose/spun sugar
Dress- Aged Mahogany
Suit- Stormy sky/chipped sapphire
Hair (Bride) Scattered straw/ Wild Honey
Hair (Groom) Tea Dye/Honey

Flower Girl

Skin- Tattered Rose/spun sugar
Dress- Victorian Lace
Hair- Scattered Straw/Wild honey
Shoes- Aged Mahogany
Basket- Tea Dye/Scattered Straw

Flowers on both are 'worn Lipstick'

I then coloured round the couple with a very pale wash of 'Broken China'.

I added glitter to the dresses and pearl rhinestones for earrings.  The flower girls basket is full of flat back hearts and she is scattering them as she goes.

Behind both stamped images is a layer of romantic lace from my personal stash. and have added some bling in the form of these awesome crystals and sparkly charm from Ribbon Girl. The flowers are also from Ribbon Girl. I added Prima butterflies to finish the image.

Finally a bit of Diamond stickles to the flowers.

Hope you enjoy the day!

Special moment/ wedding, engagement or anniversary

Well evening crafters!!!

what a weekend in the Pilbara! we had our Nameless Festival so its party central here! But being the card making addict that I am I still managed to do get my addiction done!

So I am entering this card in the following challenges-

Marvelous Magnolia Challenge Blog- Wedding, Engagement or anniversary
Tilda Town Challenge Blog - Special Moment

So for this I used the basic card stock from Kaisercraft and used the Maja Design papers, which are gorgeous! I used charming Edwin for this card as he looks so romantic with his flowers and I am sure Tilda will accept his proposal! So I used my letter die in Sugar Cookie to die cut the words 'Marry Me?'. I distressed the edges of my design papers and layered them and added a 3rd layer of the basic card stock and embossed it with the gorgeous heart folder from Sizzix. I then coloured my image in the Distress ink with the following combo-

Skin -Tattered Rose/ Tea Dye
Hair - Wild Honey
Dungarees- Stormy Sky/Faded Jeans/ Chipped Sapphire
Shirt- Spun Sugar
Shoes- Chipped Sapphire
Flowers- Worn Lipstick/ Forest Moss/peeled paint
Newspaper- Victorian Velvet
Heart- Barn Door
Aura- Broken China

Now time for my fave bit...embellies!!! I used the pale pink twirls from Ribbon girl and along with pale pink blooms from Prima and a blue material dolly from Kaiercraft this set the corner up for the light bulb saying 'Love'.  I added some of the prettiest mesh from Live and Love Crafts to the top of the card and also some tea coloured vintage style lace from Ribbon girl to the bottom. Following this was some Stickles in 'Diamond' to the flowers, both stamped and paper. To finish off the proposal message I added a charm of a engagement ring from Dress me up buttons. Finally was a bit of fran-tage around the image.

I am sure Tilda will accept Edwins proposal!

Hope you enjoy,

Alf play dart's Birthday card for hubby

Well this time I may shock you with a card that DOES NOT have a Magnolia image on it lol1

This card is made for my husbands birthday and he is a huge darts fan, both watching and playing/ So for this card I used the cute 'Alf plays darts' Digital stamp from Digital Stamp Boutique. Its perfect!

For the card I used the basic Kaisercraft cardstock, in two different shades of green and a lovely deep red Design paper from my stash that I have left over from a craft class ages ago. I wanted to go with these colours as the are of course the colours of a dartboard.

I then printed Alf and coloured him with Copics. The combo I used is as follows-

Skin- YR000, E21, R01, R20, R30
Cap- B92, B45
Shirt- YR16, Y38, YR23
Pants- B46, B32
Shoes- W7, W5
Dartboard- R35. G14

I embellished this simply, as my hubby doesn't like lots of fussy things. I used the gorgeous Scrap FX dartboard embellishments which I coloured the same as hubby's darts. The colours I used for the embellishments are-

Dartboard- R35, G14
Darts- W7, R35,RV04

I added some Stickles in 'Diamond' to the flights of the darts.

Cut a small pieces of green card and stamped 'Happy Birthday' using the clear rubber stamps from the Kaisercraft collection 'Save the Date'. I attached to this a Union Jack button from the Papermania collection 'Portabella Road. Added to this a red pearl. I also added red pearls the bottom of the card and to the middle of the embellished dartboard.

To finish off, I added a gold/yellow ribbon and tied a bow in the same colour.

Tilda's Midsummer Christmas Bingo Totally Tilda Challenge Blog

Hi gals!

Im back with a mid week reminder of our challenge at Totally Tilda Challenge Blog. Our challenge is 'Tilda's Midsummer Christmas Bingo' so come o and try a line or a full house! Our sponsor for this challenge is the awesome Bunny Zoe's Crafts

gif maker

So our prize is from Bunny-Zoe crafts.com
And the Prize is;

So my line this time is  right down the middle- RIBBON AND/OR LACE/SNOWFLAKE DIE OR PUNCH/GLITTER

So for my midweek reminder I went for a different line- Ribbon and /or lace/ Snowflake punch/or die/ and glitter. Right down the middle!

So for this challenge I used 'Tilda holding a Christmas gift' such a cutie! I used Bazzil Bling cardstock for this in 'Blank Check'. Again I used the fancy floss sew easy thread in 'Smoothie' and stitched the October Afternoon design papers to the cardstock. The design papers that Tilda is backed by is actually Santa's 'Naughty or Nice List' and both Tilda and Edwin are on the nice list as you can see from the photo's further down! Again, I used Embellishments from Dress it up and attached a 'Naughty or Nice list' to the top corner. I used my Martha Steward snow flake punch and punched out glittery snowflakes to edge the card. I then used the die cut shapes from October Afternoon and love these little tickets. Tilda is framed by a card of the Christmas Song 'Silent Night' and a old fashioned ticket as Tilda as shop assistant framed the top left corner. I love the glittery ribbon in this rich silver  and used the same to tie the bow.  Now for Tilda- Here is the colour combo of Distress Inks I used

Skin- Tattered rose/tea dye/ spun sugar
Dress- Broken Chine/pine needles
Hair- Wild honey
Socks- Pine Needles
Surround- Broken China

I added glitter to her present to finish off my line in bingo. I love Martha Steward glitter, so fine and comes in so many yummy colours. I added a little mittens charm to the card to finish off.

And remember gals, to let us know which line you call! and if you get a full house!
