Boho kind of life

Happy wednesday!!! woohoo hump day is here peoples!

Although I dont know why I am so happy that its nearly the end of the week as the forecast for this half of it is awful. So I might be back on the Christmas cards!

So this is a card I entered into the Chapman Valley Show in craft section and won Second prize. woohoo! my first year entering too.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-

International Art and Soul- Lace and/or pearls
All about Magnolia Challenge blog- All about anything goes
Magnolia Forever - Fave stamp
Marvelous Magnolia challenge blog- Anything goes
Alphabet Challenge blog -M for make your mark

Now for this card I used a Norma Lee tutorial for a Book Fold Card and it is such a beautiful card and a lovely tutorial. Norma explains is brilliant.

I used Boho Tilda from the 'Boho collection' and colorued her with Distress Inks. I added some green to her hair as I love all that pops of colour in regular hair. I used papers from Craft and You from Noor Design! UK shop.  I also used the lace from here along the bottom and the bright pink lace along the side is from The Ribbon Girl. I added lots of sparkle to the card in the way of Nurvo mousse and love how they just twinkle. The stamp behind is a Stampin Up stamp and adds to the floral feel but also a vintage feel to it.

The dies...oohhh the dies...they are from Magnolia. and I love the lantern die its just the cutest.

On the inside I used a sentiment from Kaisercraft. I thought it went well with these boho chicks. Again I coloured Tilda with Distress Inks.

I added some shabby seam binding to the tags on the front to finish off.

Hope you have a great rest of the

You're fintastic!

Happy Friday!!!

Hope we are all going ok. Today I am here with a post as GDT for the fabulous blog that is Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge blog. This challenge theme is 'Mixed Media' so its a great challenge to let your minds and creativity flow! Hop on over and see what the DT have been doing at the above link and lets see your work!

I would like to enter this card also into a couple of challenges-

lovely hAnglar or sweet magnolia-die cuts
Paradise of stamps- Your fave things
All about magnolia challenge blog- Summer

This card was defo a labour of love. Its a bday card for my hubby who enjoys fishing. I decided to make it into a shaker card and the mixed media element for me is the shaker material which i used die cut little fishies, and lots of sequins and beads and also some cheese cloth to add texture and to the whole fishing scene. I bought my shaker material at Auzz trinkets and krafts and if you have a look there you will find lots of different and awesome colours for your shaker cards.

The body of the card is cut from a Go Kreate die. The fish bowl is from My Favorite things and comes with fish and the bowl but also the water die for inside. This is what Edwin is sitting on. The Edwin I used is 'Edwin waiting for fish' and is an older Magnolia stamp. I die cut him sitting on the water and you can do this by stamping your image, then cutting round the part that is to be outside the die (so on my card I cut round Edwins torso and head and left his legs untouched) I think ran my water aspect of the die set through my cuttlebug and voila! you have Edwin sitting in some water fishing. I gotta admit I held me breath for the cutting stage!

I coloured Edwin with Distress inks and the water is a a Hero Arts Ombre pad (i am OBSESSED with these!!) and the colour I used was to reflect the water here in WA- mint to green, and I applied this with a Ranger blending tool.

The papers are from 45 and Market and everyone who knows me knows I adore being by the sea, anything to do with the sea/beach/ coastal.

Now the dies round Edwin the fishies and the net and these are from Fantasy dies and are available at Noor Design! UK. They cut beautifully and I love the little hooks that come with the fishing rod die!

The sentiment inside the card is from a Lawn Fawn and called 'Fintastic' and since my hubby is I had to get this pack! Also I needed the little hermit crab stamp as we have those as pets!

To finish off I added a little fisherman in a boat with a fish on his rod.

Thank you guys for having me as GDT for Sept!

Have a great weekend ahead.
