White Christmas

Hi guys

How are we all doing? wowzers people we are in December! how did that happen! I am sure it was just August last time I looked! Its crazy! I know we are all crazy busy making our Christmas cards, I know I have been and was so glad to hand them over to Mr post office man !

So this card was made for my parents back in England. I used Snowman Tilda and she is adorable isnt she. I think she was from last years Christmas collection. I coloured Tilda with Distress inks. The papers are from Pion Design, a couple of Christmas releases ago but I still love them!

Now the body  of the card. Its such a cool and fabulous invention by Becca Feeken for Spellbinders. Whats not to love about this. It also folds flat! Goodbye crazy postage and hello cards arriving nice and safe! Its one of three dies of this style...and yes i may have purchased them all hehe!

The snowflakes, the holly berries and the little sign are from Magnolia. The December is from Crafteezee. The little house scene inside the card are from Memory Box dies.

Hope you have a fabulous week ahead.

edwin does the graveyard shift..... 👻

So guys!

We are nearly at the end of October! How on earth did that happen! like I am sure it was just July last time I looked! sheesh! So since we are heading into the summer here it means Halloween  👻💀☠  is on its way. Back home its autumn for me so I still cant get my head round Christmas in summer.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-

lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia challenge blog - Anything goes - last challenge *sob*
Paradise of Magnolia challenge blog- Anything goes
Sweet Stamper challenge blog - Autumn/Halloween

So for this card I decided that I wanted a kinda graveyard theme going on. I also wanted some movement in it so I went with my fave pendulum cards.

I coloured Edwin as a mummy with Distress inks. Now he sits on the pendulum top part so he rocks and looks like a mummy coming towards you. I used papers from Pion Designs 'Witching hour" which is such a fabulous collection....yes i bought more..... i couldnt resist.

I coloured the pumpkin with Distress inks. The owl is suspended on some clear acetate so he looks like he is flying and is also coloured with Distress Inks. I cut the gravestone stamped images out and layered them on double sided tape to pop out.

The bat diesand the spooky fence are from La La Land crafts - how fab is that fence! The grass along the border of the fence is from Magnolia. The toadstools edging the pumpkin is also from Magnolia.

On the pendulum part itself inside the card I used a Magnolia sentiment.

Hope you have a great week.

dead men tell no tales!

Happy Sunday everyone!

Hope we are all having a lovely weekend no matter what we are doing. The sun is finally shining here and its warmed up a bit. So as well as getting crafty we have been in the garden getting lots of weeding done from all the rain. Starting to feel like spring out there!

Today I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-

Magnolia Forever challenge blog

So this card is for my nephew who is a big old 4 on Christmas eve. Cant believe he is 4 already! heck! I wanted a fun card and I like doing interactive ones for him so this year its all about the rocker card.

I used the gorgeous papers from Pion design, 'Treasures from the sea'. This is my second round of these papers and to tell you how much of it I use and love...i order 2/3 sheets of each every time. The guys who know me will tell you I love the ocean and this is just well it makes me so excited!! Plus where we live is all about the Batavia here on the WA coast line of Australia and this makes me think pirates and all-sorts of things! and I have a HUGE love of Jack Sparrow lol so hence the title of this post!!!

I used Edwin as a pirate and he is defo one of my faves. In fact the whole pirate theme thing that Magnolia had going on in this collection...way back when...are my faves. I love the barrel. its so darn cute! I coloured all the images with Distress Inks.

The dies are from Magnolia. I wanted the underside of the card to be like under the sea so we have a message in a bottle and some fishes and a mermaid on the pendulum. The mermaid is an image from the Pion papers.

To finish off I added some pearls around the porthole frame and Nuro paste in Moonstone to the waves and the clouds.

Hope you have a great week ahead.

bewitched!

Hi guys!

well look at me go! two posts in a week! been a while since this happened haha!

This card I had a hard time parting with even if it is for one of my closest friends birthdays! It was her 50th bday and she looks far from it. So since I am a good gal i sent it haha!

A bit more time to craft - Anything goes
Ally's Angels challenge blog- Happy Birthday
Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge blog- Anything goes
lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia- Punches and/or dies
Magnolia-licious challenge blog - anything goes with option of fall
Paradise of Magnolia - Flowers
Petal lu challenge on Facebook

So for this card I decided to do a pendulum card. I thought Tilda on her magic carpet would be a great one to use with a pendulum design.

I coloured Tilda and her magical background with Distress Inks. I used papers from a years old Kaisercraft release which is defo a beautiful one. I have quite a bit of this stocked up as I loved it when it was released.

I used a bit of perspex plastic to do a floating moon.

I used Magnolia dies for the flowers and the stars came from a Magnolia die club. The sentiment on the pendulum is from Lili of the valley.

To finish off I coloured up Tilda magic lantern and popped this next to the flowers. I then sprayed all the die cuts with gold iridescent spray.

Hope you have a great weekend.

why we need telephone boxes

Morning guys!

Hope we are all well? hows the weather everywhere? we are still getting lots of rain here in WA. Its really poured some days the poor farmers over East could do with this thats for sure. What this weather is perfect for is crafting.

This month is was hubbys 40th bday so we had a superhero theme to this one. He loved Spiderman as a kid so we had this great big balloon version of him! and lots of balloons. I wanted to make a superhero themed card and since i couldnt find a spidey I went with Superhero Edwin.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges -

Addicted to Stamps and more- Make your mark
Fussy and Fancy Friday challenge blog - Anything goes
lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia- Dies or punches
Magnolia-licious challenge blog- fall or winter/ anything goes
Allys Angels challenge blog- Happy birthday

This card i wanted to add some movement to it. Then it came to me...do a spinner and use Edwin and the telephone box. As where else is a superhero going to get changed! The spinner made it look like he was whizzing round and then bursting out.

I coloured Edwin and the telephone box both with Distress inks. The die cut Edwin is stamped on is from Spellbinders. I used papers...which are pretty darn awesome..from Reminisce. These are so fun, so bright and just basically perfect.

The dies are a mix of superhero ones from Cheery Lynne and Echo park, They are fabulous and perfect with the papers.

Hope you have a great rest of the week and weekend.

Christmas...its come early!

Hi guys

How are we all? Weather here is really wintery and we have had some really crazy storms. It definitely feels like it should be Christmas time with the cool nights.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-

Addicted to stamps and more-  Holiday
Alphabet Challenge blog- Jingle bells
Fussy and Fancy challenge blog- Christmas in July
International Art and Soul- Christmas Traditions
Simply Magnolia Challenge blog

So for this card I used one of my all time fave layouts, yep another twist and pop. I used Tilda and little Rudolph for the image. I think little Rudolph is just so cute! I coloured them with Distress inks.

The papers are from an old Kaisercraft collection 'Christmas wishes'. Usually I like traditional Christmas colours but this paper collection is just so beautiful and could resist the gorgeous pinks and mints in it.

On the inside I used a lot of the sentiment papers that came with the collection. I love the deep gold that they have popped in there also, it really sets off the rest of the colours.

I used the Magnolia dies of the rocking horse and the Santa's head. I do love that Santa's head die. I get quite the work out coming up to the festive season!

I popped the angel wings die, also from Magnolia, through an embossing folder and then added some metallic gilding wax to it in gold.  I love gilding waxes. They are so much fun to play with and  really add an aged effect to the piece.

I popped a bit of glitter on the cuffs of Tilda's coat. I added some gold glitter die cut circles to the tags, again from Magnolia.

The sentiment is from an old collection that Lili of the Valley brought out years ago and this like Santa's head gets a lot of use.

Finally, I popped through some ribbon which had gold glittery thread running through it. This was from Stampin Up last year.

Hope you have a great weekend.

GDT for Magnolia-licious

Hi there !

This month you have me as Guest Designer at Magnolia-licious Challenge blog, Thanks guys!!! The theme is ' Anything goes with option of Summer' and since the rest of the DT will be doing summer i went with the anything goes option.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges -

Ally's Angels challenge blog- anything goes
Simply Magnolia challenge blog- Pink
Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge blog- Pretty in pink
Sweet Stampers Challenge blog-Animals
Petal Lu Challenge- now on Facebook

This card has been made for some of our neighbours in the street who have had a lovely little girl. Its one of my fave designs as you can do so much with this layout and the hidden tag is just so cute.

For this card I used an older image but isnt he a cutie! Little trumpety! Isnt he just adorable with his little ribbon round his tummy! I coloured our little cutie with Distress Inks. The papers are from the beautiful Maja Design 'Vintage baby'- I think my fave papers are the ones with the little teddys on.

The dies ohhh i love dies. The dies on the front of the card are from Magnolia and around the image the die is from Spellbinders. The little dress, along with the shoes, is part of a die cut from Fantasy dies which can be found at the lovely Tracys shop Crafteezee. The lace and the pearl trim are also from here. The wheel thats behind the image is from Little Darlings Rubber stamps and I popped a piece of cheese cloth in front of it.

On the inside I used more Magnolia dies for the main body images. The dress die from Fantasy Dies you can see in full at the top. Its like a clothes line of gorgeous girlie things. I cute the ribbons in sparkly pink paper and used the cute teddy papers for the dress. On the bottom of the card you can see a jigsaw style die and this again is from Fantasy dies. I used little sticky letters of the family that the card is for. I popped a sparkly heart on the middle.

Finally, I added some white Nuvo pearl drops to around the card and that is it done.

Hope you have a great week.
