cyber space tilda

Morning guys!!!

Hope we are all good? Looks like a storm this end, its been building and threatening.  I am here with a card today that is probably true for all of us, esp us bloggers and crafters...Tilda from the World Wide Web collection 'Follow me Tilda'. This is not just true of me now but years ago when I lived in England and my other half was here in Australia; we emailed constantly. And also this is how ive met some of the most awesome people around who are all crafters!!!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-

The Ribbon Girl Blog- Magnolia Challenge- Anything goes
Lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia- Anything goes
Magnolia Mania- Lace and Pearls.
Time for a Magnolia Challenge- Lace and/or ribbon

So for this Tilda I coloured her with Distress Inks.  The papers are from the ever fabulous Maja Design, love the blues in this collection.

I used lace from Live and Love Crafts, isnt it divine!!! The dies are a mix of Magnolia and La La Land Crafts.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts as is the moonstone brad in the middle of the bow. The ribbon is from my stash.

For the pearls I used pale blue pearl brads.  around the image and some Rhinestone brads at the very bottom.

I used this super cute laptop charm, and a white frosted berry which are both available from Live and Love crafts.

On the inside I kept to my cyber theme and added the words 'Tilda.com' as of course Tilda has her own site!!!

Hope you have a lovely week!

First Christmas

Hi everyone!!!

Here today with my last post for the week. Its getting awfully dark here in the afternoon, it reached 40 today so it is pretty warm. Mix that with the dark clouds and we could be in for a storm as it really feels like it. So perfect weather to sit and colour in me thinks!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-

Marvelous Magnolia Challenge blog- No Fall colours
Bunny Zoe Crafts- Shabby Christmas
Time for a Magnolia Challenge- Christmas challenge- stars
Magnolia Mania- Lace and Pearls
Simply Magnolia- Fave colour combo

So for this card I used another older Tilda stamp, 'Tilda blowing snowflake kisses'.  I thought she went well with the stamp sentiment from 'Riley and Company'. This card was made for our nephews first Christmas, he was born on Christmas eve! Such a little cutie!!!

I coloured Tilda with Distress inks. The paper is Maja Design 'Vintage Frost Basics.

The dies are from Magnolia, Noor! Design Noor! Design UK, Memory Box and Tim Holtz. I coated the icicles and the  snowflakes along the edge of the card with Ranger Holographic embossing powder. This stuff is AWESOME!!! On the image itself I used a small snowflake stamp and I embossed it with embossing powder from Lindy's  Stamp gang- these are cool as they are two tone.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the pearl stars are from Live and Love Crafts.  The stars along the top of the card are cut from sparkly blue glitter paper.

I added stickles glitter glue to the snowflakes that Tilda is blowing.

The 1st is cut with a Sizzix die and coated in two crackle paints- 'Brushed Pewter' and 'White Picked Fence'.  I sprayed the flowers with Tattered Angels 'Iridescent Gold' glimmer mist.

For the pearls I added flat back pale blue pearls to the stars and snowflakes.  I edged the Magnolia Star border die with 'Aged Aqua' Fran-tage.  To the top right of the card I added a pale blue pearl brad.

And as you need to wrap up warm in the snow I added a little scarf charm.

On the inside I carried on the star theme with a Magnolia die and some pale blue flat back pearls.

Have a fab weekend!

Tilda with Lace dress

Hi !

Hope we are all well today? feels stormy here, rather heavy the weather today as the temp keeps climbing up so hiding inside with a/c again!!!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-

Marvelous Magnolia Challenge blog- No fall colours
Simply Magnolia - Fave colour combo
The Ribbon Girl Blog- Pastels
The ABC Challenge blog- 'T' is for Two- I used two different kinds of flowers-roses and poppy's
Live and Love Inspiration Challenge blog- Pink Ribbon- I used a shabby chic ribbon to tie on the tag.

I had been wanting this stamp for ages and I finally got her! Isnt she gorgeous!!! She is called 'Tilda with lace dress' I love her floppy summer hat. I coloured miss Tilda with Distress inks.

The papers are from the gorgeous Maja Design, I love the spotty papers they do! so pretty! The pinky purple is just divine!!! Now I was playing around with papers and fell in love with these blue and pink papers together, so this is definitely a fave combo of mine.

The body of the card is cut from a Go Kreate die, La La Land Crafts and Magnolia.

On the Sakura branch at top, the surf leaf and the celebration lace at bottom, I added some perfect pearls to make it sparkle.

The flowers I used are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I used two  types of flowers, roses and poppys. I love the delicate colours.

My pink ribbon is used to tie though the doohickey tag, a piece of shabby chic seam binding ribbon from Live and Love Crafts. I wanted it here as I used a Stempelglede sentiment 'You are fabulous' as whether your ill or not it always makes you feel good hearing that but especially when you are fighting something.

To finish off I added some blue rhinestones to the dragonfly.

Hope you have a lovely day.

Dingle, dangle scarecrow...

Happy Sunday everyone!!!

Gorgeous day here, warm with a lovely light breeze...still after nearly 6 years cannot get head round that this is October weather!!! Im used to rain!!! So since its the bewitching month I thought I would have a play around with some spooky-ness... and its also mine and hubby's anniversary on Halloween, 10 year!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-

Magnolia Forever - Purple
Magnolia Mania- Lace and Pearls
Magnolia-licious Challenge blog- Spooktacular fun
Paradise of Stamps- Halloween or Fall
Time for a Magnolia Challenge- Autumn/ fall colours

So for my Spooktacular card I used 'Tilda as a Scarecrow', she is an oldie but definitely a cutie.  I coloured Tilda with Distress inks, isnt the new purple from Tim Holtz gorgeous!!!! I used papers from the Graphic 45 collection 'Happy Haunting' its a cute fun collection which has some fabulous prints in it.

The dies are a mix of Magnolia and La La Land Crafts.  I used lace from my stash, love this gorgeous rich black lace which edges the the left of the main image.  The leaves at the bottom are a ribbon again from my stash. I cannot for the life of me remember where I got it from.

Now the pumpkin...he is a Magnolia die from the last doohickey club and I couldnt resist the googlie eyes! I tried but couldnt!!!! The bats...are from La La Land and I cut two sets, covered all of the die cuts with Stickles 'Black Diamond' glitter glue. I then stuck them together with mounting tape and as they are a bit brittle from the glue drying I was able to bend the wings up so they are even more pronounced and 3D.  The bees are are on the stamped image I coloured black and turned them into bats.

The flowers are a mix of Wild Orchid Crafts and Kaisercraft.  Tucked into the flowers you will see a little haunted house charm.

For the stars I used some wood veneers, as I wanted to show that it is nighttime so they are dotted around the main image, beside the flowers and the spiders web. The pearls are a yellow colour and I added them to the bats, the spiders web edging at bottom and also the the top of the pumpkin.  Finally on the top corner, at the spiders web I added a moonstone purple brad which is also from Wild Orchid Crafts.

On the inside I continued the Halloween theme, and added some Autumn elements with rub on embellies.

Hope you have a spooktacular day!!!

Chic fringe Tilda

Hi there everyone!!!

Well survived trip to Perth for hosp stuff, and glad to be home!! boy did I miss my own bed!!! Anyhoo back to normal so of course it has to be a blog post!

I would like to enter my card into to the following challenges-

Simply Magnolia- Sparkle
Midweek Magnolias- CAS or overloaded
Craft Heaven Inspirational Blog- Lace and flowers
Boutique Magnolia- Spring

So for this card I used the gorgeous new release from Magnolia, the Boho collection. Its just such a light and carefree kinda Tilda in this collection, LOVE it!!!! The Tilda I used on this image is 'Chic Fringe Tilda' isnt her coat to DIE FOR!!! I love it!!!!

The papers are from the every stunning Maja Design.  The dies are from Magnolia, how cute is the Sakura branch!!!

Now I used colours that I associate with Spring, the beautiful greens, yellows and pinks as things wake up from their long sleep, that freshness that comes with Spring. I coloured Tilda with Distress inks.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The 2 laces that I used on this card are from Live and Love Crafts, isnt the tassel lace fabulous!!! Perfect for Boho!!! The heart lace is just adorable!! The 3rd lace is under the main image, just peeking out to the side.  The ribbons tied through the heats is also from Live and Love crafts.

To finish off I added some sparkle to Tilda- some Stickles to her flowers she is holding, some stickles on the Sakura branch too.  Some more bling came with the rhinestone brands used on the tiny tags on the right side of the card. On Tilda's headband I added some Perfect Pearls to add some more sparkle to the image.

I carried the theme over to the inside of the card.

And to finish off I added a hummingbird charm, as all the birds and bees are starting to come out at this time of year. On the centre of the Sakura flowers I added some cool Prills which I got from The Scrapbook Store. I also  added these to the dragonfly die cut and to the leaf peeping out behind the flowers.

Hope you have a great rest of the week.

Tilda in Havana

Hi again!

See told you I had been busy when it had been raining!!! This is my second and last post for the weekend lol.

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges -

Midweek Magnolias- CAS or Overloaded
Marvelous Magnolia Challenge Blog- Add some black
Paradise of Magnolia- Birthday

This card has one of my fave images. I think she looks rather like she is a 1920's Flapper. Her really name is 'Tilda in Havana' I just LOVE her!!! She looks so fabulous!!! and classy!!!

Again I thought I would try my hand at CAS- trying to get some practice in at this style card.

I coloured 'Tilda in Havana' with Distress inks. The papers are from Maja Design.  The sentiment is from a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, I thought it went perfect for her!!!! She looks like she is far from well behaved dont you think!!!

Again, I had to show some restraint and control myself and remember it is CAS, so I added a Eiffle Tower charm and a simple Resin flower with a dot of Perfect Pearls in the middle. I also used Perfect Pearls on her headband and necklace.

The sentiment inside is from Lili of the Valley Stamps.

Hope you have a fab rest of the weekend!

Hi guys!!

Hope we are all well? We have had a funny week weather wise, been lovely and then Thursday night it cracked it! Thunder and heavy rain all night, and the rain kept coming on Friday.  So what to do when like this? CRAFT!!! So I am here with the first of my posts for this weekend.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-

Midweek Magnolias- CAS or Overloaded

For this card I used what I was calling 'The Holy Grail of Stamps' I looked EVERYWHERE for this tilda (her proper name is Tilda as Santa Lucia) and I FINALLY found her after weeks and weeks of looking, she was just out of stock EVERYWHERE and I finally hit lucky! I was sooooo excited you wouldnt believe it!!! So 'Santa Lucia Tilda' is coloured with Distress Inks.

The papers are from Maja Design.

I normally dont do CAS but thought I would give it a shot and boy was the willpower being used, I kept thinking 'oh just some flowers there' then 'nope stop it, its meant to be CAS' lol.

For some sparkle, I couldnt help it..honest... I added some 'Shaved Ice' from Stampendous. This stuff is just GORGEOUS!!! and also some glitter glue to the candles and her hair piece.

The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley Stamps and is embossed with gold embossing powder.

The final touches were a stocking charm and a small rhinestone brad.

Hope you have a great weekend.
