Now I got my happy mail of new stamps this week so had to let them have an outing! so here is my card features Tilda holding Binoculars, who is sitting on the rubber ring and the lovely Sea background stamp.
And here's how I created my card!
For the actual card body I used KC cardstock in Ocean as it is a lovely deep blue colour. For the Background papers I used Websters pages in 'Palm Beach'. I cut a little bit in on the white paper so you can see the blue KC card under. I then took the word paper from the same collection and layered that on top of the white paper. I fell in love with this word paper as it has all the things you imagine on a beach holiday. Then I took my Spellbinders Die and cut out using my Cuttlebug. Before this was attached to the body of the car I die cut a tag using a Magnolia die in a bright orange which was inspired by a sunset on a beach and pops against the blue tones. I also then added some twine in a natural colour and tied part of it in a bow, under this I added some lace and blue ribbon to tie into the blue card stock.
Now for the stamping! I stamped the Sea background, Tilda and the rubber ring in Memento ink 'Espresso Truffle'. Here are the colour combos I used, all coloured in Copic's-
Sea Background-
Sky- BG10, BG01, BG05

Clouds- BV31, C1

Shoes- R17, R59
Binocular- YG95, Y28, Y03, BG10
Rubber ring-
R09, R17, R29, C1, C3, BG10
Tilda is mounted on two layers of 3D foam and popped onto her rubber ring!
To finish off the card I added some bling in the form of blue rhinestones to the corners of the card, and black rhinestones to the outside of the 'porthole'. I then added Plaid's Dimensional Magic to The sails, Tilda's hat, and to the foam of the sea. Then to add to sparkle to the clouds I applied stickles in 'Diamonds' and also to the water around the rubber ring.
Finally... I then glued a ships wheel charm to the twine bow and the word 'beach' to the tag.
Hope you enjoy my card!
