Evening all!
Well i am here with something a bit different from me. I have been eyeing up the Steampunk challenges for awhile and i fell in love with the G45 papers 'Steampunk Spells'. So i am entering my very first steampunk card into the following challenge-
Simply Steampunk Challenge- Tragic Love
For this card i used the image from Simply Betty Stamps and I used the digi of Rapunzel. Now we all now know the story of the beautiful girl locked in the tower with the gorgeous following locks of hair. A story by the unbelievable Brothers Grim. This a tragic love as the poor girl is locked in there by her father and the prince has to climb her hair to get to her.
I used the gorgeous G45 papers for this card and Tim Holtz embossing folders for this. I love this poisons medication label. It is just perfect! I also his graveyard scene and for this i only used the raven part of the embossing folder. I then use the spellbinders heart dies and cut these and embossed them with the same folders. I used some Kaisercraft ribbon in blood red.
The image is coloured in copics. I distresses the edges then stained with Memento Espresso Truffle and rhubarb stalk ink.
I then added a heart shaped charm with an arrown going through it.
Hope you like my first steampunk

My fave crafting item
Well for the lovely Brenda at Floral Fantasies ! blogaversary she has asked what our fave crafting item is. Well now let me tell you this was a hard one off the top of my head so i started going through my cards that i blogged and noted something that kept popping up on each card! a Magnolia Doohickey die!!! and the one that is ALWAYS on my projects is Tilda's tag.
Now as everyone who knows me will tell you, i have a bit of a thing for Magnolia- stamps, dies, papers, magazines, bling... you name it i love it but this tag is always my go to. Why you may ask well here is the reasons
1) i love the vintage style of it,
2) i love the little cut outs in the tag
3) its a good size to pop sentiments on whether big or small- whatever you want to say it will fit
4) can pop a bit of ribbon through it and it looks so gorgeous!
5) finally, it suits every kinda card- male, female, young, old,
so in reality this is my perfect die, its so versatile.
Here is one of my more recent cards with the tag, hope you like.

Konnichiwa! with brads and flowers!
Good morning!
I am here today with a card i made last night when hubby was watching sport. This is the paper ive had for ages that i havent wanted to use lol but this was the right time for me to let it go lol.
So the challenges i will be entering this card into are the following-
Allsorts challenge blog - Use brads
Cute card Thursday - Clever cutting
Scrapbook stamp society - Anything goes with making own flowers option

So for this card i used a lovely Besties in a gorgeous Japanese outfit. The DPs are from G45 and are the 'Bird Song' collection which are beautiful. I used the Magnolia Peonies die to create my flowers and thought these were perfect for a Japanese card. I also used the La La Land crafts Japanese bridge die and flower.
The sentiment is from La La Land as are the stamps which i embossed in gold on the inside of the card.
I coloured my little lady with copics and added some bling to her from Kaisercraft. The brads I used are from a old paper collection called 'Konnichiwa' which i cant remember who it is made by! I used brads to secure my peonies together and used the lantern brad as this ties in with the back layer of DPs i used.
I hope you like my Japanese style card.

I am here today with a card that a bit different and its been a lonnnnnnggg time since ive actually done one! its a 3d deco card and for this one i used a Besties image.
Now this kinda thing is a bit different in that you have the same image about 4 times over BUT....you have a full image laid down first, then you trim a bit off and lay that down, then take the head of the image and lay that down, then the arms, and you get this 3d image.
heres mine -
as you can see i have lots of images and then taken them apart to fit them together. I used double sided foam tape for this.
I am entering this card into My Besties 3D Deco Blog- love or valentines
I fell in love with this little girl and her pillow such a cutie!!! I coloured her with copics and the DPs are from Kaisercraft collection 'Pink Gelato' its a very gentle coloured collection.
I used one one die on it and its the Doo hickey from Magnolia - the grooms bow. I used Kaisercraft and WOC flowers and bling from Kaiser.
