dead men tell no tales!

Happy Sunday everyone!

Hope we are all having a lovely weekend no matter what we are doing. The sun is finally shining here and its warmed up a bit. So as well as getting crafty we have been in the garden getting lots of weeding done from all the rain. Starting to feel like spring out there!

Today I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-

Magnolia Forever challenge blog

So this card is for my nephew who is a big old 4 on Christmas eve. Cant believe he is 4 already! heck! I wanted a fun card and I like doing interactive ones for him so this year its all about the rocker card.

I used the gorgeous papers from Pion design, 'Treasures from the sea'. This is my second round of these papers and to tell you how much of it I use and love...i order 2/3 sheets of each every time. The guys who know me will tell you I love the ocean and this is just well it makes me so excited!! Plus where we live is all about the Batavia here on the WA coast line of Australia and this makes me think pirates and all-sorts of things! and I have a HUGE love of Jack Sparrow lol so hence the title of this post!!!

I used Edwin as a pirate and he is defo one of my faves. In fact the whole pirate theme thing that Magnolia had going on in this collection...way back when...are my faves. I love the barrel. its so darn cute! I coloured all the images with Distress Inks.

The dies are from Magnolia. I wanted the underside of the card to be like under the sea so we have a message in a bottle and some fishes and a mermaid on the pendulum. The mermaid is an image from the Pion papers.

To finish off I added some pearls around the porthole frame and Nuro paste in Moonstone to the waves and the clouds.

Hope you have a great week ahead.

bewitched!

Hi guys!

well look at me go! two posts in a week! been a while since this happened haha!

This card I had a hard time parting with even if it is for one of my closest friends birthdays! It was her 50th bday and she looks far from it. So since I am a good gal i sent it haha!

A bit more time to craft - Anything goes
Ally's Angels challenge blog- Happy Birthday

Paradise of Magnolia - Flowers
Petal lu challenge on Facebook

So for this card I decided to do a pendulum card. I thought Tilda on her magic carpet would be a great one to use with a pendulum design.

I coloured Tilda and her magical background with Distress Inks. I used papers from a years old Kaisercraft release which is defo a beautiful one. I have quite a bit of this stocked up as I loved it when it was released.

I used a bit of perspex plastic to do a floating moon.

I used Magnolia dies for the flowers and the stars came from a Magnolia die club. The sentiment on the pendulum is from Lili of the valley.

To finish off I coloured up Tilda magic lantern and popped this next to the flowers. I then sprayed all the die cuts with gold iridescent spray.

Hope you have a great weekend.
