final for 2016...

Hi all

Well can you believe we are a week away from Christmas! heck. And two weeks away from the New year! WOW. So this is my last post for 2016...its been a interesting old year again!

So for the last time this year I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-

Simply Magnolia - Anything goes
Deep Ocean Challenge blog- Silent Night
Magnolia Forever Challenge blog- Winter
lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia- Anything goes
Midweek Magnolias- Christmas

So this is a new style of card for me for this year, and i do rather love them. Its a peek-a-boo card and the tutorial can be found here Peek-a-boo card with Norma Lee. Such a good tutorial.

The images I used are the Magnolia animals , the little penguin and the little polar bear. They are lovely. I coloured both these little guys with Distress inks. The papers are from Pion Design. I love these and you can feel the peacefulness coming off them, it almost like you can hear the snow falling and that beautiful calmness from these papers.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The star pin I cannot for life of me remember where i got it from. The snowflake charm was in my stash. The lace is from the ever fabulous Noor! Design UK. I also used Structure paste which you can find at Noor! Design UK along with the beautiful white lace I used.

The border die cut is from a Magnolia die and I edged it simply with flat back pale blue pearls.

And that is it!

Hope everyone has a peaceful happy Christmas no matter what you do. Enjoy and I shall see you in 2017 for more crafting adventures.

Snow ball fight *ducks*

DUCK!!!! Yes its a snowball fight! lol well maybe not in real life here but I am sure some of my crafty friends are getting ready to throw a few over the next few weeks/ months!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges -

Lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia- Anything goes
Deep Ocean Challenge blog- Santa is coming to town
Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge blog- Christmas in pastels or tones
Magnolia Forever Challenge blog- Winter
Magnolia-licious challenge blog- Need a little Christmas
Marvelous Magnolia Challenge blog- Anything goes Christmas
Simply Magnolia Challenge blog- Anything goes

so 7 in total!

I used the fabulous twist and pop card tutorial which is from Kaisercraft blog, you can find the tutorial here Twist and Pop. Its such an effective card and always makes people smile. The tutorial is just fabulous too.

I used 'Snow scarf Tilda' from a few releases back....so looks like she is having fun throwing those snowballs!!! I coloured Tilda with Distress Inks. The papers are from the Pion design collection from last Christmas...again the elf got me. I love an elf!

The images inside are from the mini Magnolia collection and they are also coloured with Distress Inks.

Now to the flower...wowzers!!! I love this die! It can be found at the awesome Noor! Design UK and it just cuts so gorgeous. The glitter papers *swoooon* are from my local craft shop....and yes I went back and bought more of them!!

The icicle die can also be found at Noor!design UK, as can the Little Darlings rubber stamps die that features at the top on the front of the card.

On the front I used a brad for the middle of the flower, a clear rhinestone brad. This is on the band that holds the twist and pop in place while closed. I used some velcro on the back of the band so it can open and save sliding over the car.

To finish off I added some Structure past to add texture, and some glitter glue and a pair of gloves charm as you always need your gloves on for a snowball fight!

Hope you have a great week.

Ruddy is shaking is tail feather!

Well hello!!!

WOW peoples we are in December!!! DECEMBER!!!!! Where did that come from!!! heck! So tomorrow me and hubby are going to be wrestling the tree out of the box! Already got the baking under way but heck DECEMBER MAN PEOPLE!!! its just gone so fast 2016!

So I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-

Simply Magnolia- Anything goes
Deep Ocean Challenge blog- Santa is coming to town
Magnolia Forever Challenge blog- Winter
Magnolia-licious Challenge blog- Need a little Christmas
Noor! Design UK challenge blog- Sparkle
Fussy and Fancy Friday challenge blog- Christmas in tones or pastels

So I made this card a few weeks ago for my fabulous friend Bek who I met when we lived in Tom Price. I have been hanging on to blog it until she received it and now she has here we go!

I used the image 'Little Rudolph' from Magnolia and he is one of my fave animal images that they have done....ever! The pure joy on his face, that little smile is just so adorable! I coloured the little fella with Distress Inks.

I decided to make him into a shaker card as I think he would have a blast playing around in the sparkles! I used glitter and beads as the shaker material. The shaker pouch is from Impression Obsession.

The papers....ohhhh I love these...and again I have been hording them for the right card, the right image and finally it fell into place. These papers are from the Shabby Chic paper collection which you can get from Noor!Design UK. I have to admit I ordered three of these pads lol! I love that pale/pastel / soft blue.

The die cuts around the image are from Magnolia Ink. The shape of the card is from Go Create. I used flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. The winter die cut on the bottom of the snow globe is from Noor!Design. The snow globe shape and the deer are both from Impression Obsession.

Now...one of my fave embellies that I have also been hording (see how much I think of you Bek that I handed over one of these lol!) is the darling reindeer paperclip that I attached to the top corner of the tags. This i got from Stampin' Up last year.

Finally, I tied through some bright red shabby chic binding to finish off.

Hope you have a great weekend.

Now you see me now you dont! !

Well happy Friday!

Can you believe that next week is the first of December!!! WOW this year has just gone in a blink of an eye!!! So of course the tree shall be going up and this will be our first Christmas in our new house!!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges -

Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge- Different folds/shape cards
Simply Magnolia- Vintage
Magnolia-licious- Anything goes
Marvelous Magnolia Challenge blog- Anything goes
Midweek Magnolias- Anything goes

For this card I wanted to try something different. I had seen a fabulous card on Pinterest and love the idea of the hidden/disappearing image. So the tutorial I used for the card is from the fabulous Norma at Splitcoast Stampers Peek-a-boo card Tutorial.

I used the images of Tilda and her cute Polar bear friend. This Tilda is called 'Cosy Tilda' and is from a Christmas release a year or so back. I coloured both Tilda and her polar bear friend with Distress inks.

The papers are from Pion Design last years Christmas release. I got to admit I do love this paper esp because of the little gnome fellow in it! He is just adorable!

Now the dies I used are Spellbinders for the main view finder part of the card. Around the edge of these I used a Memory Box stitched die.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I also used a diamond pin from here and the ghost leaves too. The bling in the bottom corner is from Noor! design UK as is the structure paint and the stencil used to create the embossed snowflakes.

The die cuts that edge the layer on the front of the card and the flowers are both from Magnolia.

Have a great weekend!

ohhh twisting oh baby yeah!!!

Hiya

its been a bit of a while since i have blogged but heck we have been busy painting and gardening and its time to get back into the blog swing of things.

I have used the same tutorial for this card as I did for the last twist and pop card...from the Kaisercraft blog which can be found in a previous post here or if you search on the KC blog.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-

Midweek Magnolias- Winter
Deep Ocean Challenge blog- Die cuts and/or punches
Noor! Design UK challenge blog- Winter
Marvelous Magnolia challeng blog- Anything goes
lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia- Snow/glitter

Fot this card I used my fave Tilda from last years collection....Tilda with snowman. I love her little poncho! She s just adorable. For the images inside I used two of the cutest animal stamps Magnolia have done along with the Christmas lantern and of course some presents! I coloured all the image with Distress Inks.

The papers are from the gorgeous Pion Design...I adore this little gnome they have on this collection! I just love a gnome!!!

Now, for the sparkle....I used the structure paste from Dutch Doobadoo which you can get from Noor! Design UK and to make is glimmer like snow I added some holographic embossing powder. I LOVE structure past its the best thing EVER!!!!!! To add more sparkle I popped some glitter glue on the band that wraps around the card. Also I used the structure paste on Tilda's hat and added the embossing powder to that also.

The die used on the front of the card is from LDRS and this plus the icicle die used can all be found at Noor Design at the link above.

The sentiment inside is from the Pion papers and perfect as this card is going to a good friend back in England. I popped some frosty blue pearls on the inside and also on Tilda's buttons and also for earrings.

The Merry Christmas sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.

To finish off I added a little penguin charm.

Hope you have a great day.

Twist and Pop for Christmas

Hi

I am here today with a card that I had been wanting to try for a while and finally got round to doing it! Its a twist and pop card and the tutorial is from the Kaisercraft blog and its so simple yet effective...ive added the link below.

Kaisercraft Blog Twist and Pop card

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-

Magnolia-licious Challenge blog- Mini challenge
Midweek Magnolias- Anything goes with a Magnolia image
Noor! Design UK challenge blog- CAS or fully loaded

Now Although there is a regular size Tilda on the front of the as I tried a mini and she looked a bit lost but on the inside there are four mini Magnolia stamps which I just think are the cutest...esp that front door scene.

I colored all the images with Distress inks. The papers are Maja Design from last years Christmas release. The band around the middle of the card is held in place by some velcro. I used a Spellbinders stocking die for the socks on the front of the ban. The mini string of socks on the inside is from Noor!Design UK. The gold sparkly paper is from my local craft shop.

On the front of the card I added some structure paste and a snowflake stencil  (new addiction!), which can also be found at Noor! design and I sprinkled this when wet with some holographic embossing powder. Behind the main image you can see a LDRS die which is one of my fave dies to use.

To hold the stockings on the front in place I added some rhinestone brads and I like these as they allow movement which looks like the stockings are swining.

On all the images I added some glitter glue as sparkle is always needed and esp at Christmas!

To finish off I added a stocking charm.

Hope you have a great week.

Tilda and Peanut

Happy Sunday!

Well this is a bit strange..Ive made an autumn themed card in Spring...yes peoples its Spring in Australia and the weather is starting to heat up nicely!!!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-

All About Magnolia Challenge - All about Autumn
Magnolia-licious challenge blog - Fall challenge
Paradise of Stamps Challenge- Halloween or Fall
Midweek Magnolias - Anything goes
Marvelous Magnolia Challenge blog- Your fave stamp

So for this card I used the cute stamps of 'Tilda an Peanut' an oldie but a goodie. I love this stamp as some of you will know that we have a hermit crab called Peanut and he is the the littlest dude but such a character!

I colored Tilda with Distress Inks. The papers are from Maja Design 'Walk in the Forest'. All the dies are from Magnolia, the die club. I love the leaves and made these 3d with mounting tape. I edged the image, papers and the die cuts with Distress Ink 'Vintage Photo'.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I never thought that coral flowers and green would go well together but they kinda pop off each other!

The sentiment inside the card is from Lili of the Valley.
