Guest Designer at Maja Design!

Howdy!!!!!!

Now i am SUPER DUPER excited! I got asked a few weeks ago if I would like to be a Guest Designer on the ever awesome Maja Design Blog . Now this is a utter dream come true as I absolutely adore every collection! I have never seen a Maja paper that hasnt made me swoon!

So here is one of the cards that is featured, and this is the new collection ' Summer Crush' and yup I am in love again. Its got my two fave colours- Coral and Turquoise in it, love the retro feel. You guys captured lazy crazy summer days perfect!

My card, I used 'Tilda with Heart phone' from the World Wide Web collection. I coloured her with Distress inks and used a load of Magnolia dies on her and the gorgeous butterflight from Tim Holtz.

The Lace is from Live and Love Crafts as is the ribbon tied through the hearts.  I added some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and to finish off a pearl pin with a little charm of sunglasses popped through it. I loved this image with these papers as she feels so 'Grease' the film with her capri pants and her scarf round her neck!

I then sprayed the WHOLE card (yes all of it lol!) with Glimmer mist to give it that bathed in sunshine look.

Hope you enjoy my stint on Maja and the other ladies too!

Thanks for having me!

The papers, well where do I start!!! The new collection from Maja Design 'Summer Crush' and boy do I have a crush on these papers!!! They are so gorgeous, so retro...so PERFECT!

I coloured Tilda with Distress inks. The dies are a mix of Magnolia and Go Kreate. I used a button trim from Live and Love Crafts, this is defo on the list to buy more of. The buttons used on the bow die and the flags are a collection i found in my stash! I love the turquoise.

To POP the bow and the flags I used mounting tape to make them stand up. On the flags I used some rose coloured twine to make the ties between them.

The 'Happy Summer' is cut from one of the pages of the Maja collection.

I finished off with some champagne coloured rhinestones.

Hi there everyone!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-

Simply Magnolia - Christmas in July

So for this card I used an older Tilda stamp, 'Tilda captures stars'. She is just the sweetest. I coloured Tilda with Distress inks.

The papers are from Maja Design 'Its Christmas time' I love the richness of the reds and greens in this collection against the gorgeous whites and creams.

Around the edge of the image I used 'Shabby white' fran-tage. Its got a lovely old world feel to it.

Now the dies- I have used a mix of Tim Holtz, La La Land crafts, Noor! Design and Go create dies. On the stars, angel wings and ribbon die at the bottom I embossed more Fran-tage, this time 'Aged Gold' I LOVE that old world style that these two colours have! I got to admit I love Fran-tage on Christmas card!!!

The ribbon is some red/berry coloured velvet ribbon. The lace is a stable of mine from Live and Love Crafts and the shabby seam biding tied through the stars is also from there.

On the inside of the card I embossed with Copper powder from 'Zing' 'sending you Christmas cheer' which is from LOTV.

Hope you have a lovely weekend!

So... for this challenge I used an older stamp of mine ' Edwin on Sleigh' I love the thought of hims dashing through the snow! Doesnt he look like hes going a bit fast lol!

I coloured Edwin with Distress ink. I edged the image with Distress ink 'Iced Spruce'. The papers are my new fave 'Shabby Christmas' from Noor! Design. I used the poker dot paper on my background, tag and snowflakes.  The ribbon is also poker dot and peeks out just above the lace, which is from Live and Love Crafts.

The dies on the card are a mix of Noor!, Magnolia, Go Kreate, and Memory box. I love dies!!!

I embossed Chunky white embossing powder from 'Stampendous' to add to the snowy feeling. On the snowflakes and Edwin's snow trail, I used 'Frosted Lace' glitter glue. I love the texture of this as it feels so crisp....like snow!

My embellies- I added a flat back rhinstone pearl from Live and Love crafts to the star border at the top of the card, the metal aspect of my card is my metal white bell on the sign post.  I added a pale blue pearl brad to the bottom of the card. Sepia 'Blue Ribbon Edwin'

Hi guys!

Hope we are all well today?

I am here with my very first Sepia colouring with Distress Inks. It took a while to get my head round the colours but got there lol!

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges-

All About Magnolia Challenge - Bingo- Full house
Marvelous Magnolia Challenge blog - Poker dots
Tildas Town - Fussy and fancy or clean and layered

So for this challenge I used the gorgeous papers from the every fabulous Maja Design. I love the brown shades that Maja do.  I used See no Evil Edwin from the 'Blue Ribbon' collection that Magnolia released in support of Prostrate Cancer.  I stamped Edwin on a piece of die cut water colour paper- the die is the torn notebook from the Tim Holtz and Sizzix collaboration.

The dies are a mix of Go Kreate, Magnolia, and Spellbinders.

I used poker dot brown ribbon which edges the burlap. Beneath the burlap is some light brown lace.  For the metal Embellie it had to be Tim Holtz embellies- I used a metal tassel and a pen nib

The flowers are from WOC.

To add some bling- I had to hold myself back as this is a boy card lol- I added cream and brown flat back pearls and rhinestones. Also, I couldnt resist adding this lovely brown bling to the bottom of the card.

I finished off with mini alphas to spell out 'Bday boy'. The I used Gesso on ALL of the die cuts! Love that stuff!!!

Hope you have a lovely day!

Christmas in July

Morning all!

Hope we are all ok and having a lovely day? Cool start here in the Pilbara but looks like it could shape up to be a nice day once the heavy dew goes.

Noor! Design UK- Something old, something new- My old is my Magnolia Ink cloud flower, had forever and my new is the Memory Box star die on the left hand side of the card in the photo.

So for this card I used two images, Little Cute Tilda and the Flower cloud. These were masked together and then coloured with Distress inks.

The papers are from the ever gorgeous Maja Design. Cant help but love them! they are beautiful!

The dies are a mix of Magnolia, Impression Obsession and Go Kreate. For the Kraft paper element I used the Santa and his sleigh die from Impression Obsession.  On all the dies I added metallic crackle paint from Tim Holtz- on the blue there is 'Brushed Pewter' and on the Kraft paper ' Tarnished Brass'. I love these metallic colours. So rich and gorgeous!!! I must  admit 'Tarnished Brass' is like liquid gold when you look at it! Swooooooon! I also added a Magnolia die to the inside of the craft in Kraft paper.

I used Ribbon from my stash and the lace is from Live and Love Crafts, it is a subtle grey with some bling on it, perfect for the colour combo I was going for.  The flowers are the gorgeous WOC as are the holly leaves which I added behind. In among the flowers you will see some bead and these are from a flourish pack from Prima which i snipped off.

On the image itself, I added some 'Frosted Lace' glitter glue to Tilda's bobble on her hat, her cuffs on sleeves and pants but also the cloud to give it some shimmer.

To finish off, I used a bling rhinestone brad and a little stocking charm.

Hope you have a lovely day!
