all about pink

Happy weekend peoples!!

Hope we all have something chilled planned for the weekend. Quiet one here. Catching up on washing from when it was raining and trying to get it all done before it starts again next week. But the bonus is this is perfect crafting weather! I might even try and start the C cards ...yep it will soon be that time again so I am thinking about it!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-

Ally's Angels - Stars
Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge - lace, buttons and bows
Magnolia Forever Challenge blog- Bling
Magnolia-licious challenge blog- Anything goes with the option of wedding 4
Simply Magnolia Challenge blog- Flowers
Swedish House Crafts challenge blog - 30 days
Sweet Stampers Challenge blog- Animals

Well this card was made for a friend whose brother in law and partner were due to have a gorgeous baby girl a couple of weeks ago. I had a great time as like all female related cards you can go to town with lace and fancy pants stuff.

The 'Special delivery stork' is just a perfect image. Its just a beautiful stamp that Magnolia released a long time ago. I coloured our delivery guy with Distress Inks. I used papers from Kaisercraft 'Peek-a-boo girl' collection. Think my fave papers in this collection are the little feet and the alphabet blocks. It has a vintage feel to it with the sentiment which you can see on the bottom section of the inside of the card.

The dies are mix of companies. The outside are Little Darlings Rubber stamps decorative viewfinder which can be found at Crafteezee. The others on the front are from Magnolia. On the inside of the card you will find dies from the Magnolia die clubs. The washing line of clothes on the top panel is from Fantasy dies and can be also found at Crafteezee as is the jigsaw die on the inside.

The flowers are from my stash and I think it was Wild Orchid. The lace trim and the pearl trim are also from Crafteezee.

Now for the bows. I used a teeny tiny bow die from part of a Magnolia die club die and I popped this ALL OVER!!! lol. Its on the dresses, on the shoes, on the corners of the panels inside, on the star everywhere! I just love this little cute die! I used Nuvo jewel drops on the centre of each bow.

Finally, I added a little charm zipper which says baby on it.

Hope you have a great weekend.

Happy Tuesday!!!

And how are we? Going ok everyone? Here its been raining most the day but its kinda nice to curl up and just read and craft. Although it can make blogging a bit of a pest as Mr internet doesnt like this weather.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-

Sweet Stampers Challenge blog - Animals
lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia challenge blog- Summer
Fussy and Fancy Friday challenge blog- Summer fling
Magnolia-Licious Challenge blog - Anything goes with the option of weddings
Paradise of Magnolia Challenge blog- Some fruits
Petal Lu challenge blog - now on facebook

This card I thought was so cool when I first saw the tutorial. I fell in love with it and defo going to be making a lot of these in the future. Its a Pendulum Card so click the link if you fancy giving it a whirl.

I used this as a chance to use hula Tilda. I think her doing her little dance with the pendulum is so cute. I used Distress Inks to colour her and also her bird friend. This stamp is also a Magnolia but since we dont have blue birds here and we have these beautiful pink and grey galahs thats how I coloured him. He is attached to the card with a piece of acetate. So thats my nod to the animal theme.

The papers are from Kaisercraft collection called 'Island Escape' and it is my kinds papers beachy and tropical.

The dies I used to cut the shape of the card are from Spellbinders and just a tad smaller than the ones used in the tutorial. The Kaisercraft collections have great pull out parts and these were the perfect size to pop on the pendulum to decorate the inside of the folded section.

I used dies fore decoration on the body of the card are all from Magnolia. I used little rhinestone flatbacks to add some bling to the centre of the flowers. My fruit angle is in the form of coconuts that are on the palm tree part of the Magnolia die.

90 years young...

Morning all

Hope you are all well. Its officially winter here, the 1st of June. Bit grey and damp but otherwise not too bad. Not a bad say to be holed up in craft room.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-

Magnolia Forever Challenge blog- Flowers
lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia - Summer
Sweet Stampers Challenge blog- Birthday
Simply Magnolia- Flowers
Petal Lu Creations- Now on Facebook

This card was a big deal to me. This is for a 90th birthday for a very special neighbour back home in England. She is such a wonderful lady. She is still young at heart, loves a gin and has been a good family friend since I was a baby. I know she loves bling and colour so I wanted bright and cheerful for her.

I used 'Ribbon Dance Tilda' from the collection a few year back 'The little Moscow circus'. I coloured this cutie with Distress inks. The papers are from Maja Design 'Summer' and I love the shades, they are my fave colour combo coral and turquoise.

I wanted something that would show the movement in the Ribbon Dance that Tilda is doing so I used a spinner tutorial which can be found in the post 'Age old question'. I wanted her to just move from side to side of flicker like she was in the air.

The flowers are from my stash, and I added a little dress charm to the flowers. The leaves are sprayed with Tattered Angels iridescent gold glimmer mist.

I wanted to make it a larger card so i made a regular 15cm X 15 cm and added a same size card on so it forms a 'Z' shape. This way i can pop on a background for Tilda's dance but also get the grand sparkly 90 on too and somewhere to write!

I embossed with Zig embossing powders in Scarlet a pair of a crown, ballet shoes and a ribbon both of which are from Magnolia. The dies used...the trim that acts as a curtain is from Magnolia as is the die used for the feathers (cant be a show gal without feathers!)  as is the leaves. The centre die cut is from Spellbinders as is the piece Tilda is coloured on.

The lovely glittery 90 is cut from a Tim Holtz die.

Hope you have a great weekend.
