Santa is shaking it!

Happy Wednesday!

Well its red hot here in the Pilbara area of Western Australia, dont think we had spring! feels like summer! So of course I made a Christmas card, yup in the red hot heat! Crazy when you think Im English lol!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-

Midweek Magnolias- Christmas
Magnolia-Licious - Use craft paper
Holly Jolly Christmas- Santa Claus
Noor! Design UK- Shaped cards

For my shaker card I used one of my all time fave Edwin stamps 'Little Santa' from last years Christmas Magnolia release. Boy did this little guy get some use last year, think he was glad when New Year came!!! I coloured Edwin with Distress inks.

The papers are from Riddersholm Design and the collection is 'Our Country Christmas'- Love the vintage feel that this collection has and the rich reds.  The red lace is from Wild Orchid Crafts as are the flowers.  The cream coloured lace is from Live and Love Crafts.

Now for the dies- The Santa is from the Magnolia doohickey club last year and yup like 'Little Santa' got a lot of use! The rest of the dies are from Noor! - I love the words!!! I was so excited when these arrived!!! And the snowflakes!!! wow wow wow!!!

The shape of the card is cut from a Go Kreate die.  The band round the image of Edwin is from an 'Impression Obsession' die.

The kraft paper features a lot in this card- I used it for the die cut round the image, the snowflakes att the top and the side, Santa's hat, and for the words. I also carried it over to the inside. On all of these parts I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder which is spotty and is one of my fave folders, esp for Christmas. The only part of the kraft paper that was not embossed was Santa's beard.

The shaker material is made up of different shades of yellow/gold beads and clear beads. I love the sound of these, kinda reminds me of the bells you here when Santa and his sleigh is riding over!

To finish off the card I added some red and gold rhinestones to add some extra bling.

Hope you have a lovely day.

For the glitter, I used both stickles and Wink of Stella- the stickles in on the headband, the lanterns and in the centre of the the blue flower.  The Wink of Stella I used on the branches along the top, and on the top of Tilda's dress.

White Christmas

Hi there everyone,

Today I am here with a card that got sparked by seeing that our local supermarket has Christmas cakes in and mince pies...so had to make a Christmas card after seeing those!!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-

Time for a Magnolia Challenge - Christmas challenge- White Christmas
Marvelous Magnolia Challenge blog- Anything goes
Magnolia Forever- Rhinestones and glitter

For my all white Christmas card I used 'Tilda as an angel with candle'- She is one of my fave Christmas images. I coloured Tilda with Distress inks.  The card is all made from white card stock, no DPs this time at all! I embossed all the cards, including the die cuts with a spotty folder from Cuttlebug, always makes me think of snowflakes and snowballs!

I used dies from Magnolia and Noor design.. The lace and the white tulle is from Live and Love Crafts. I have been hanging on to the glittery tulle forever lol!!! I just love it!!! On top of the lace, which is just peeking out the card, is some white ribbon which was in my local supermarket last year for presents! its shimmery and iridescent.

I used shabby gold Fran-tage on all my die cuts, love the way the gold glitter particles shine. I used blingy rainbow rhinestones on the stars and snowflakes and on Tilda's basket with the Poinsettias in I used red rhinestones.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The tag with the shabby seam white ribbon, it comes out the card and has a sentiment from Lili of the Valley and the sentiment on the inside is also from there.

Hope you have a lovely day!

Now from my stash I used the daisy ribbon which I got at a craft shop in the city. I just love it! reminds me of daisy chains I used to make as a kid and also of the flower tiara Tilda is wearing.

I added a Prima heart corner to the top and some cheesecloth behind the flowers.  The tag has a piece of shabby seam binding tied through it.

On the inside I used a daisy from the ribbon.
