Christmas Eve Edwin

Hellloooo!!!!

So the Christmas card making in this house as like many other of my crafty friends, is in overdrive! I think im nearly there! think is the operative word! So of course I am back with another Christmas card! What else you may cry!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-

Magnolia Forever Challenge blog- No Pink
Holly Jolly Christmas- Ribbon and pearls
Magnolia Mania- Gingham
Marvelous Magnolia Challenge blog- Anything goes with Christmas
Simply Magnolia- Shabby Chic

So here is Edwin...holding the Christmas tree...PUT IT DOWN EDWIN!!! This little cutie is 'Christmas Eve Edwin' from the Winter Wonderland Collection from a few years ago.  I coloured Edwin with Distress Inks.

The papers are from Riddesholm Design's new collection 'Cozy Christmas' its so rustic and traditional its beautiful.

The dies are a mix of Magnolia, Noor! Design and Sizzix. I made the flowers from a Doohickey die, and sprayed them with Glimmer mist and left this to dry. I then added Gesso to them and the red frosted apples from Live and Love Crafts. A acorn charm and some brown frosted berries are added to the poinsettias, in the middle of these I used pearl stamen in this gorgeous red wine colour. I love how cute these acorns are!!! The Gesso was to give a snowy effect.

With the gingham ribbon, I tried something different. The ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl and I used it to edge the main image, almost like a frame.

On the trees I added 'Shabby White' Fran-tage which i love!!!! I also edged the die cuts with Distress Ink 'Vintage Photo'.

The numbers are cut from a Sizzix die with corrugated card, then dappled some Gesso. When the Gesso dried I sprayed it with the same Glimmer mist.

The  'December' is cut from a Noor!Design die and I embossed the top of the word with 'Shabby White' Fran-tage.

Around the main image, I used Chunky White embossing powder to give a snowy effect.

To finish off I added some pale blue pearl brads and a large pale green pearl brad to beneath the 25.

Hope you have a great rest of the week.

GDT at 'All About Magnolia Challenge Blog'

Howdy all!!!

How are you guys today? I am super super excited!!!! This is my first post as one of the GDT at All About Magnolia Challenge Blog ! did I mention I am SUPER excited!!!! #happydancing!!!

So this is the midway reminder for the challenge which is a super fun one - 'Sparkle' ooohhh you could go wild with this couldnt you!!!! So hop across and see what the fabulous gang at All About Magnolia Challenge Blog have been up too and why not enter?!

So for this card I used 3 Tilda images from the Santa Lucia collection, the Tilda on the end with candles, well she was my holy grail of stamps.....searched everywhere and finally found her!!! So I masked these 3 ladies together and coloured them with Distress Inks.

Now the papers are from Maja Design 'Vintage Frost Basics' and I thought I would challenge myself with doing a pink Christmas card as most of mine are traditional.  On the images I used Fran-tage on all of their handbands- Shabby Pink, Shabby Blue and Shabby white. On the band of Tilda in the middles dress I used some Stampendous Crushed Glass fragments in silver. I NEED more of this stuff!!! Tilda with the star, for the star I used gold Stickles. Tilda on the end, I added clear glitter to her candles, although hasnt showed up well in this pic. I added the gorgeous 'Shaved Ice' at the foot of the image, love how this twinkles.

The dies are a mix of Magnolia, Noor! Design, Sizzix and Memory box. On all of these I added 'Shabby White' fran-tage to these to make them really sparkle.

The number are cut on some corrugated brown card with a Sizzix die and covered in Distress Ink Crackle Paint in 'Antique Bronze'. As this was drying I sprinkled some red micro beads on top.

Around the image I wrapped some cheesecloth, kinda makes them angelic I think.

To add some final sparkle I used moonstone brads from Wild Orchid Crafts. I love these brads.

On the inside I used a Magnolia die for the sign and it reads 'Christmas Blessings'.

I would also like to enter my card into the following challenges-

Winter Wonderland

Afternoon!!!

Hope we are all well today?

We are heading at a rate of knots to Christmas now...eeekkk!!!! So I am here with a Christmas card of course!!!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenge-

Time for a Magnolia Challenge - Christmas Challenge- Winter Wonderland

So for this card I didnt use a Tilda or Edwin...but a background stamp only !!! That shocked ya didnt it!!! hehe! The image I used is called ' Christmas Background' and its one of the older stamps but is so beautiful. You can almost here the peacefulness of it.

I coloured this image very very lightly. I wanted the effect that the sky is full, ready for another down pour. So it was kinda like a colour wash in Distress inks.

The papers are from the new release from Pion Design 'Glittering Season'- very rustic colours.  The dies are a mix of Magnolia, Impression Obsession and Noor! Design.

To the trees and the antlers of the deer I used 'Crushed Glass' from Stampendous.  I love the sparkle that this heavy duty crushed material gives. The flowers have my newest obsession on them- Gilding flakes!!! Still learning with these but boy are they fabulous!!

The ribbon was from my stock and the shabby seam binding tied through the heart tags is from Live and Love Crafts as is the rusted snowflake.

I edged around the image with Distress Ink 'Vintage Photo' and to create snow I used a Marvy Snow maker...again lots of fun!!!!

Have a peaceful weekend.

The papers....well I got to admit..I didnt want to part with them they are soooo pretty!! Its the new collection from 'Riddesholm Design' and the collection is called 'Cozy Christmas'. I love the blues in this.

The dies are a mix of Sizzix, Tim Holtz, and Memory Box. I used Stampendous 'Crushed Glass' in silver on the 25.

The stars across the top are cut from the gorgeous paler blue in the collection. The stars down the side have Perfect Pearls dotted on them.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the lace and the blue frosted apples are from Live and Love Crafts as is the rusted holy berries charm, which is nestled in the flowers. I used pearl stars also from Live and Love crafts.

On the inside I used a Memory Box die to continue the star theme.

A gentleman...clean and simple

Im back again!!!

Lol im on a roll catching up with blog posts!!!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-

Boutique Magnolia- Birthday
Magnolia Forever Challenge blog - Clean and Simple

Now this card was made for a good friend, who I used to work with, hubby's 70th Bday. I find that often with male cards, with the exception of my hubby dad and father in law, clean and simple is the way to go, so this worked perfectly for the challenges above.

The image I used is 'Bowler hat Edwin' from the 'Little London' collection. He is one of my faves to use for male cards.  The papers, well this DP page is just fabulous, love the old vintage style and works perfectly for this Edwin. It is from the Graphic 45 collection ' A perfect Gentleman'.

I coloured Edwin with Distress inks. The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley Stamps. I added a simple mustache charm and a square brad as the brad reminded me of a gents cufflink.

On the inside I used another sheet from the same collection and the brown paper is simple kraft paper. The bowler hat stamp is from one the new releases from Tim Holtz.

Hope you have a great week!

Ice Tilda

Hiya everyone!

Hope we are all well here. Im finally back after a few internet issues- boy did i miss my blog!!!! So when ive been waiting ever so NOT patiently I have been crafting away at our Christmas cards!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-

Live and Love Crafts Inspiration blog- Tic Tac Toe ( Full house except bell)
Midweek Magnolias - Anything goes
Marvelous Magnolia Challenge Blog- Winter
Time for a Magnolia Challenge- Pastel Christmas
Craft Heaven Shop Inspiration Blog- Layers with an option- Christmas

So this card had me feeling all festive but mainly all wintery!!! So I used 'Ice Tilda' for this card and coloured her with Distress Inks.  The paper is from the fabulous Noor Design 'Shabby Christmas' love the gentle colours in this.

The card itself is a pop up card- yes you read that right its been a lonnnnnnggggg time since ive made one but with time on hands being sans internet this kept me out of mischief. Although I did have a fight with a die cut fence!

For the pop up aspect I used a inch or so wide piece of white cardstock which is folded and placed behind Tilda. This then allows Tilda to fold down and then 'pop' back up when the card is opened. So easy but so effective.

On the front of the cards I used died from Noor! design, Tim Holtz and Magnolia.  The flowers are hand rolled from one of the dies from the latest Doohickey collection.  The layers are on mounting tape which makes the card 3D. The numbers are cut from a Sizzix die and covered with crackle paint and then sprinkled with Stampendous ' Crushed Glass' in silver.  I added some lace from Live and Love Crafts which is under the Tim Holtz Present die.  The shabby seam binding ribbon is also from Live and Love Crafts.  The ribbon is from my stash.

On the leaves I added some Prills, which are teeny tiny beads. These are gorgeous!!!! On the heart tags, behind the numbers, I covered these in 'Shabby White Fran-tage' as everyone wants more sparkle at Christmas!

The middle of the flowers I added some Kaisercraft sparklets. The apple is frosted and from Live and Love Crafts. On the parcels I added some cream flat back pearls just to show the edge of the parcel, this is edged in Distress Ink 'Vintage Photo' for a more vintage looking present.

On the inside I used the background die from the latest Doohickey collection, isnt this just fabulous!!! On it I used chunky shabby white Fran-tage so  it looks more like snow that the detailed embossing powder. I double cut the snowflakes from the Noor! design snowflake die and stuck these together so you see the pattern on both side as the design paper itself isnt double sided.

Behind the stars on the background die, are some silver sequins, so they twinkle like stars.

There is the fence I had a fight with!!! I covered this and the trees behind it with 'Diamond Dust' for that frosted Christmas tree feeling.

On the fence, I added a lantern charm, Tilda is skating at night so she needs to see!!!

The middle of the card, the 'ice rink' is die cut and then mounting tape was added to make an extra layer. The Tag is a doohickey and this is for the Christmas message.

Hope you have a great day!
