Wise words from KKS Marilyn

Happy Sunday gang!

Wow hasnt March gone by so fast!!! cannot believe that we are nearly in April! slow down 2015!

I am here today with a card using the gorgeous image Marilyn from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. Isnt she just perfect, think Miss Monroe would love her!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenge-

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge blog- Wonderful Wednesday challenge, Anything goes

I coloured the gorgeous Marilyn with Copics. I used some fuchsia stickles on her shoes and on the belt of her dress. The papers are super feminine, are from Kaisercraft latest collection ' All that Glitters' and its just super duper. I layered the card and used rose ribbon from my stash.

Around the sentiment, which comes with the stamp, I added some hot pink rhinestones and also some larger ones to the image itself.

On the inside of the card, I used one of the die cuts that comes with the paper pad 'Its your day, lets celebrate' as thought this would make an awesome birthday card.

Hope you like her!

Devine Tilda

Heyyyyyyyyyy!!!!

How are we all this Monday? Good I hope? Weather is better here so making the most and getting the washing done.

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges-

Lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia  - Butterflies
Magnolia Forever Challenge blog- Add a charm
Midweek Magnolias- Lace and Pearls
Deep Ocean Challenge Blog- Vintage
Marvelous Magnolia Challenge blog- BOWanza

So for this card I used my new fave Devine Tilda. I think ive coloured her in every colour!!!  I coloured this cutie with Distress Inks. Im trying to keep at them as think ive finally got the hang of them!!! I used papers from Melissa Frances 'C'est La Vie' they are lovely old style vintage papers which worked so well with the vintage colours I used for Tilda's dress.

The dies well its a die explosion! They are a mix of Go Kreate, Tim Holtz, Sizzix and of course Magnolia. I used two cuts of the butterflights but Tim Holtz and made them 3D by gluing one on top of the other and bending the top wings upwards. I used a Martha Steward punch and did the same thing. To these I added clear glitter and some crackle paint in 'Pciket fence'.  I used a Martha Steward doily behind the main image along with some cheesecloth.

I put crackle paint on EVERY embellie! LOVE the stuff!!!

I added a bird cage charm to the heart tags, this is so cute and is very old style. I tied some white ribbon through the heart tags and added some green gingham ribbon as it goes well with Tilda's dress. On the body of the card you can see I added stickles to the papers edges.

Finally I added some white flat back pearls and a very cute light bulb charm to finish off.

Hope you have a good week!

I would also like to enter my card into the following challenges-

Indonesia Magnolia lovers challenge blog- Fave colour combo
Simply Magnolia challenge blog- Flowers

Today I used 'Summer Buzz Tilda' - this image reminds me of us across here in Oz where although its not bumble bees we are chasing the flies!!! Isnt she sweet in her gorgeous summer dress and bow. I coloured Tilda with Copics and used DPs from Maja and thought they kinda resembled Tilda's picnic blanket.

I used a mix of dies from Tim Holtz, Magnolia and Spellbinders. The smaller butterflies dotted around are from a Martha Steward punch. The green butterfly is from Prima. I used flowers from WOC and Kaisercraft. There is some cheesecloth to add texture in the background.

The red alpha stickers spell out 'butterfly'. Finally, to finish off I added some pea green rhinestones to the times of the Holtz die cut and Tilda's bow.

Hope you like her!

Altered gift bag with Devine Tilda

Hiya there guys!

Now is the weather where you are? Here in the Pilbara we have a Cyclone bearing down on our coast line. Where we are is inland so we are just getting hammered by rain, thunder and some wind. So perfect time to stay tucked up and craft.

So I have just got into making altered gift bags...and i LOVE it!!! So i would like to enter my creation into the following challenges-

Midweek Magnolias -Lace and Pearls
Magnolia-licious- anything but a card blog hop- theme 'circles, dots, spots and blots'
Marvelous Magnolia challenge blog- BOWanza
In the Pink  - For a special lady
Simply Magnolia- Lace and pearls

So for this i took a basic white paper gift bag

and decorated it. I used papers from Kaisercraft collection 'Pitter-patter girl' as it has lovely shades of pinks and even better- fabulous poker dot paper! I used dies from Magnolia, Sizzix and La La Land crafts. I coloured Devine Tilda with Distress inks. I made my own flowers from a rolled rose die from Sizzix.

The lace and the pearl trim are from my stash as is the bow on the top tying the bag together. I twisted pink/white candy striped baakers twine around the handles. I added some poker dot ribbon under the main image. There are 3 typed of lace used on it. The very bottom lace has beautiful pearls on it. I added 'Petal pink' perfect pearls to Tilda's dress so its like having spots on it. There is some gorgeous sparkle rose pink glitter tape along the bottom. I added some bright pink flat back pearls to finish off.

The sentiment is from LOTV.

I hope you like it.

Luck be a lady (bird) tonight!

Hiya guys!!

I am here today with a challenge for the blog Sweet 7 challenge blog- and the challenge is 'Lucky Gold'. Unfortunately this is my last post as part of the DT. So for it I thought I would try my hand at a bit of CAS as its not my usual 'thing' as you guys know.

So for this card I used 'girl ladybug from Bugaboo digital stamps and isnt she a cutie! I coloured her yellow as I thought it would be a nice change from the red ladybugs, as often see some pale orange/dark yellow ones in the garden. So since she is a girl its 'luck be a lady (bird)!

I used some papers from the fabby G45 'Tropical travelogue' as this has subtle colours in it along with vibrant. I coloured little miss with Copics. Now I have an OBSESSION with my rolled rose die so for my one and only embellie on my CAS card this is it, unless you count the ribbon which has spots on it to tie in with my ladybugs spots.

So why not hop over to the above link and check out the rest of the DTs awesome work.

GDT - 7th post- Butterflies

Heyyyyyyyyyyy!

Today I am here with my last card as part of the GDT team for Time for a Magnolia Challenge, and today its all about the butterflies. So come on and hop across and see what  beautiful creations the rest of the DT and GDT have created.

I used the gorgeous Binding flowers Tilda. She is one of my newer stamps. I coloured her with Copics. I used Papers from Maja.

The dies are a mix of Go Kreate, Spellbinders, Magnolia and Tim Holtz. I used a Martha Steward butterfly punch for the little butterflies around Tilda. The clear dew drops are from The Ribbon Girl as is the spiders web mesh behind the image.

The sentiment on the banner reads 'Life is like a butterfly' a song from an old old old tv show I used to love called 'butterflies'.

I hope you like my card.

Also, a big thank you to Chantal and the girls at Time for a Magnolia Challenge for having me these past weeks. I had a blast.

Hugs

Spring time

Hi there !

Well what a miserable few days here in the Pilbara!!! WOW grey sky, thundering, and LOADS of rain which actually is nice as its broke the temp here a bit. Never thought I would be loving a load of rain lol!

So since its been gloomy I decided that I would enter the Saturated Canary facebook challenge which was a 'Touch of Spring'. I picked this little lady called 'Beautiful World' and she can be found at the above link.

The other challenges that I would like to enter my card into are the following-

Loves Rubberstamps- Anything goes
We Do Doobadoo- Spring greens
Stamp and Create- Is it Spring yet?
The Ribbon Girl Blog- Add flowers

So for this card I used the lovely shades of green from Maja. I love the variation in these greens and they all mix so well together. The image is coloured in Copics. I used dies from Go Kreate, Magnolia and Sizzix for this card. I had made the flowers and sprayed them with glimmer mist-kinda like the sun is on them so they simmer. I added some lace from Live and Love Crafts. To finish off I added some brown flat back pearls and some pea green rhinestones.

I hope you like her. I picked her a she made me think of this is what Mother Nature would be like, looking over the world, starting spring off and the flowers growing on the globe kinda represent to me that spring has sprung.

Hope you like her.

Ok so for this card I used the very cute 'Tilda with Angel the horse' from 'Animal of the year' Collection. Havent used this one before but since taking the fab class at Kit and Clowder on how to colour animals I was feeling a lot braver lol.

So Tilda and Angel are coloured with Distress inks. The papers are the awesome Maja (what a shock!) I used dies from Go Kreate, Magnolia. Tim Holtz and Sizzix. On the made made flowers, I sprayed them with glimmer mist and added DI  crackle paint 'picket fence' to them. Hiya !!!

I am here today with m 2nd last GDT card for Time for a Magnolia Challenge and this time we are asking for Christmas bingo! So here is the bingo card! So why dont you hop over and see what the DT and rest of the GDT gals have been doing?

Bling bling
Lint/Ribbon
Kraft
Bloemen/flowers
Doily
Kant/Lace
Label/tag
Sneeuw/snow
Touw/Twine

I would also like to enter my card in the following challenges-

Tilda's Town Fave season (I LOVE winter- love snuggling down in the warmth, hot choc, cozy nights in, the rain and wind)
completely Christmas - Add texture (I used Snow tex on the church and the trees to add texture so like snow)

For my card I picked the following lines- Bling, flowers, tage, Flowers. doily, lace and Ribbon, Doily and snow.

So as you can see I made my card without a Tilda or Edwin- I used the gorgeous Magnolia 'Old Swedish Church' I love this background stamp. You can just see people making there way through the snow to the church, it tells a story i think this stamp. I coloured the church with Copics.

The papers are from Whimsy, they are sooooo winter. The dies are from Magnolia. The flowers are the usual mix of WOC and Kaisercraft. I used Snow Tex to create the snow on the trees. The falling snow is stickles.

I added some beautiful lace from my stash and some ribbon that was from Kaisercraft long ago. The doily is from Martha Steward. I added a little bell to the sentiment which is from LOTV. The pin is from Prima. On the flowers which i made I added some DI crackle paint in 'Brushed Pewter'. To the sign post I thought I would list something so used Kaisercraft mini alphas and it  reads ' Carol Service 7pm'.

Hope you can hope across and join us.

Good morning!!!

I am here today with another challenge DT card for My Besties UK challenge blog

Anything Goes (A)
and
 Bling (B)

(B) Anything Silver will lovely for this challenge, must be detailed on your blog to qualify
(there is an extra digi on offer for the 1st Prize for cards with bling)

You can enter up to 3 times using cards, scrapbook pages,
or any other projects that you like
but you need to please use a Bestie image created by Sherri Baldy.

Or you can enter one project without a Bestie Image.

The image I used is called 'Framed 7' I love that she is a bit different from all the other and LOVE that ornate from. She can be found here at Etsy.

I used papers from Kaisercrafts 'Something blue' collection. Its a very chic, and is full of beautiful rich papers. The ones I used are textured, feel all fuzzy and beautiful. I wanted to make it like she was in a very ornate and glitzy frame. So I coloured her with a gold glitter pen. This adds some beautiful sparkle. I also added some yellow/gold beads to the corner of the frames. As which chic old style frame doesnt have some jewels on it! I then added some red rhinestone crowns to it (think I was feeling Patriotic!) I finished off with some silver glittery ribbon and some black flat back pearls.

Hope you can join us in this sparkly challenge!
