Hi guys!
Hows things going? Been a busy old few weeks here and the weather seems to be slowly changing and feeling cooler in mornings and at night. its kinda nice! Lots of gardening getting it sorted for Autumn.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges-
Magnolia Forever challenge blog- Spring
lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia- Spring flowers
All about Magnolia Challenge blog- Spring
Midweek Magnolias Challenge blog- Anything goes
Petal Lu challenge blog- Now on Facebook
For this challenge I thought I would do my take on an age old question....what came first the chicken or the egg...Magnolia style! I used 'Tilda as Chick ' and 'Tilda in egg' for this conundrum! I coloured both Tilda's with Distress inks as I did the large Magnolia rabbit inside the card.
The card is something that i had wanted to do for a long time and the lovely Jenny Dix sent me this tutorial. Flipping awesome its a spinner card and you can find it at this link- Spinner card Tutorial. The dies I used were from Spellbinders for the gap in the middle but also I used Spellbinders stitched ovals for the main images. I use this die set a lot. Its a great size for Magnolias I find.
The bees and the honeycomb die are both from Magnolia die clubs.
The papers are from Pion Designs 'Secret of the Songbird' as you can tell from previous posts it one of my fave paper packs.
The flowers were in my stash but I MUST stock up on yellow roses of a few sizes!
I wanted to add some bling but not too much so I dotted some Nuvo crystal drops on the bees and left it at that.
On the back of the card I put the area for the sentiment and I used the Magnolia bunny die from one of the die clubs as it was too cute to leave off. For his nose I popped a flat back pearl.
Hope you have a great week.
